Job Description: 

Job Summary

  • Continuous review of process frameworks (e.g. Pricing, Cross Border, Conduct, etc.) to ensure adequate control environment, develop process flows for strategic initiatives and assisting in the development of operating models.
  • Working closely with key business stakeholders, including but not limited to Business and Operational teams, CFCR, Legal, Business Management, Audit, Technology in shaping internal policies, driving changes and strategic implementation for the Business with regards to PvB Controls.
  • Identifying and addressing key risk areas of the Private Banking business through deep dives, reviews and data analytics.
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify key areas of risk or concern and impact to the Business and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and business partners.
  • Project management, influencing design and functional requirements through analysis, providing input to ensure business needs are met, identifying and documenting project gaps, impacts and risks.
  • Coordinate working groups, business forums and governance meetings.
  • Providing advisory support and guidance to Front Office with respect to process requirements and system queries.

Understand the Group’s business strategy and model. Stay abreast of industry news and transform PvB processes to ensure PvB continues to uphold client experience and service delivery. Driving efficiency in PvB processes and ensure effectiveness of control execution.

Risk Management

Execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating operational and reputational risks to the Group. Ensure system process and procedures are fully adherence with internal standards, policies, procedures and risk management framework of SCB. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them

Governance

Oversee the governance of PvB SG and HK

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 7+ years of experience in Private Banking business and demonstrate a good understanding of PvB business, clients and processes.
  • Demonstrated track-record of change delivery and/or relevant experience in risk and control management.
  • Proven ability to work across business streams, exposure to front to back system implementations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory landscape across Asia and experience working on Pricing and Cross border topics
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, drive multiple agenda, effectively manage priorities and display strong initiative.
  • Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business and driving change to improve processes.
  • Good communication skills, ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to code (SQL,Python etc) and familiar with Power BI will be an advantage.  
  • Displays personal authority, integrity and ethics.
