JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Head, PLT Communications, the postholder will be a trusted advisor for stakeholders, working closely together to conceptualise and drive impactful, audience-focused communication initiatives across the Bank – primarily related to the Bank’s performance, leadership, transformation, and strategy agendas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Build strong stakeholder relationships at various levels to act as an advisor on key communication initiatives. 
•    Support the delivery of targeted communication strategies to inform and engage colleagues and build confidence, belief and pride.
•    Partner across CABM network to create strong storytelling content and internal communications and channel management (i.e. Pulse) that supports Bank-wide change programmes to strengthen the Bank's culture and ways of working, aligned with priorities determined for internal and external stakeholders. 
•    Develop a range of communications collaterals (e.g videos/infographics /briefing packs, FAQs, etc.) to support the Bank's strategic and transformation initiatives. 
•    Copywrite for internal and external corporate communication channels.
•    When needed, collaborate with internal/external vendors to ensure strategic change initiatives are rolled out in accordance with highest standards of professionalism and quality execution.
•    Video/design studio/creative agency management - regularly review the efficacy of communication channels and analyse data insights to inform future approach. 
•    Horizon scanning for best-in-class internal communications practices, bringing the outside in to test and learn with new formats for internal communications tied to external trends.

•    Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance, and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite and building a culture of good conduct.    


•    Collaborate with other CABM teams and stakeholders to execute successful communications strategies.
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.

Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners

•    Ensure that tone of voice, messaging, and behaviours are aligned with the corporate narrative when we engage and communicate internally and externally

Other Responsibilities
Serve on CABM and Internal Communications working groups and committees as needed. Member of the Internal Communications Community of Practice to share priorities and communications initiatives from Group that Business, Function and Market communicators need to know about, making specific asks for support and activations where needed. Take on special assignments to support CABM priorities as needed

Skills and Experience

Our Ideal Candidate
•    2+ years of communications experience, preferably with execution in communications. 
•    Ability to think through desired outcomes of communications strategies and tactics.
•    Good understanding of internal and external content strategies and communications channels, including social media channels.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong storytelling skills.
•    Experience in design and content creation to support or enhance a strategy/narrative.
•    A curious and creative mindset and with excellent skills in analysing data/data visualisation.
•    Experience in AI tools like ChatGPT, including knowing how to ask the right questions (prompts) for clear useful responses 
•    Understanding of internal and external content strategies and communications channels.
•    Good understanding of social media and how to apply internally.
•    Able to manage multiple stakeholders, including senior management and third-party vendors, across multiple locations.
•    Adaptable to working in high-pressure environments. 
•    Able to develop effective and collaborative working relationships.

•    This is a Direct contract role for 12 months
•    Experience in corporate communications, PR and/or journalism an advantage.
