Key Responsibilities
Business
• Formulate and prepare financial models, credit memos to support contemplated transactions primarily related to CRE, corporate/investment grade acquisitions and syndicated facilities.
• Assist senior transactors on the origination, structuring and execution of customized solutions for clients in the Americas; identify cross-selling opportunities for other product partners.
• Support wider CRE team in the execution of transactions through working closely with Client Coverage and various support function such as Credit, Operations, LDU (Loan Documentation Unit”), LPU (“Loan Processing Unit”), CRC (“Credit Risk Control”), Legal and Compliance.
• Assume accountability for credit risk of clients and ensuring a continuous dialogue with relationship bankers (GAMs & FAMs), and relevant support areas to ensure that they are monitored and controlled.
• Ensure that business conforms to the relevant product Credit Underwriting Standards (“CRE CUP”), Product Program Governance (“PPG”), and all other bank policies and procedures.
Processes
• Ensure deals are properly screened and selected in line with the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite.
• Provide oversight of portfolio risks through the account monitoring and escalate to line manager where necessary.
• Manage internal processes (e.g., RCAF, PSR, BCA, Deal Check List and among others).

• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
Risk Management
• Comply with the risk management processes in place. This includes (but not limited to) compliance with country-level Portfolio Standards, Underwriting Standards, Credit Underwriting Principles (‘CUP’), PPGs.
• Monitor client activity (internally and externally through media) for any adverse news.
• Communicate and escalate (where necessary) of gaps in systems, control, and procedures are in place to relevant functions or line manager.

• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 3 plus years experience in debt origination.
- Experience in credit risk analysis is preferred.
- Sound knowledge in financial analysis & model.
- Provide outstanding client experiences.
- Structure competitive solutions that meet financing risk standards.
- Provide valuation, financial, credit analysis and pricing for financing solutions.
- Build qualified, diverse pipelines that realise short-term revenue goals while building for the future, balancing between large strategic mandates and less complex deals.
- Build and expand our network to reach new clients and sales opportunities.
- Build a cross functional Deals team with representation from Sales, Implementation and Structuring, agreeing priorities and mandates.
- Partner with stakeholders across Banking and Coverage, Capital Markets, Credit Trading, Loan Origination and Trading, to identify target clients for unique credit services.
- Workshop solutions with senior risk and portfolio management stakeholders to ensure solutions are risk optimal and returns accretive.
