JOB SUMMARY

•    We are seeking a strategically and commercially-minded B2B Marketer to support and the marketing strategy for the Corporate Sectors segment within Corporate Investment Banking (CIB). This role is responsible for developing and executing sector-specific marketing plans aligned with global and regional business priorities, collaborating closely with Client Coverage, Product, Sustainable Finance and Digital Marketing teams as well as internal and external vendors. 

•    This role requires strong senior stakeholder management and engagement, the ability to influence across global and country teams, and a focus on consistent, high-impact execution. You will lead marketing efforts to drive CIB visibility, support client acquisition, retention and deliver clear commercial value. A passion for creativity, innovation, continuous improvement and storytelling with data is key to success in this role.

•    The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of some different MNCs sectors, possess gravitas and work credibility in holding oneself well with and managing senior internal Sector stakeholders, and has good multi-tasking capabilities to drive impactful campaigns and track measurable business outcomes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIE

•    This role is responsible for defining and delivering the marketing strategy primarily for the Corporates segment within Corporate & Investment Banking, a business that is driven at global and country level. He/she will also support the marketing needs of the corporate client coverage team as needed.

•    The successful candidate will drive development of the marketing strategy and supporting plan for our Global Sectors team, based on deep customer insights, in order to increase visibility, awareness and commercial impact for CIB. The global strategy, borne from a deep understanding of the business and market dynamics as well a client needs and opportunity at a global level and across our network, should help inform the way in which we market to clients in a consistent way.


•    You will own and drive end-to-end sector activity plans led by business segmentation and prioritisation and in close collaboration with Client Coverage, Sustainable Finance, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing as well as the cluster Marketing teams. You will drive business impact by understanding account plans, and commercial opportunities and effectively position the Bank, our services and capabilities to the clients we serve, and the clients we aspire to bank, optimising marketing plans to support the business in achieving their goals and aspirations.

•    We are looking for a marketer with a deep understanding of B2B marketing and the way in which MNC’s and corporate sectors operate, their influencers, their decision makers and personas, their banking requirements and needs. You will have a proven ability to drill into client segmentation, client mapping, and client behaviours and translate these insights into meaningful and impactful marketing strategies and programs, driven by effective client targeting, measured through agreed client outcomes and success metrics. 

•    You will have a good digital marketing skillset and an ability to craft narratives derived from data analytics.

•    Manage, execute and report, end to end, the sector marketing campaigns.

•    Build relationships and networks across the business and liaise with key business stakeholders on a regular basis to understand their specific needs, the clients they serve, and the opportunities that exist. 

•    Develop transformational digital marketing strategies that puts client data, analytics and insights at the centre, with clear articulation of how marketing is supporting specific business outcomes.

•    Drive implementation of plans with clearly defined commercial returns with metrics and tracking that support these opportunities, leading periodic reviews and updates with senior business stakeholders. 

•    Drive impactful engagement between Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing central teams and the regional teams, ensuring regional plans roll up to support the overall global business goals for CIB 

•    Develop measurement frameworks, metrics and KPIs that ensure marketing strategies are effective and impactful and that we’re garnering increased insight around the ways that clients interact with us and the business and relationship impact.

•    Drive continuous improvement in marketing programs as market conditions evolve. Led by creative, innovative ideas and a desire to think outside the box.


•    The ability to interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.

•    Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

•    Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Experience in thematic development, thinking ‘customer first’ to ensure themes address client needs and challenges. 
•    Proven ability to clearly articulate the business goal and expected results behind the creation of marketing campaigns. Thinking “customer first”, and empathetic toward the pain points and challenges facing clients
•    Good at managing budgets and agencies
•    Transformational mindset with sound decision making and the ability to work in a high paced, high pressure environment.
•    Passion for working as part of a global team, whilst building strong networks with regional colleagues

 

Skills and Experience

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Degree educated or equivalent, preferably in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience in financial services B2B preferred, and exposure to Corporate/Institutional Banking and related products
  • 8 years senior level experience in B2B marketing and communications
  • Depth of experience of marketing to Corporate & Institutional Banking client
  • it is a Direct contract role for 6 months
