Title: Associate Director, FX, Derivatives & Digital Assets, CMPS

JOB SUMMARY
• Support the Product Manager in the global development, enhancement, and management of digital asset products—including custody, trading, payments, stablecoins, and tokenized real-world assets—serving both retail and high net worth client segments.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (technology, legal, compliance, operations) to drive secure, innovative, and compliant digital asset solutions.
• Facilitate integration of digital assets with existing wealth management and retail banking platforms, while maintaining residual mandates across FX and derivative products.
• Handle new onboardings of liquidity and service providers for DA, equity derivatives and FX/precious metals derivatives,
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Develop and execute product strategies for digital assets—covering custody, payments, trading, tokenization, stablecoins, and blockchain-based products—leveraging market analysis, regulatory intelligence, and client feedback.
• Align product vision and commercial models with global market trends and regulatory requirements (MAS, HKMA, FCA, PRA) for retail and private banking clients.
• Analyse competitive landscapes for digital assets, payments, wealth digitalization, and FX, recommending enhancements and new product initiatives to maintain best-in-class positioning.
• Manage and enhance wealth management derivatives product capability to provide a robust execution and risk monitoring platform across private bank, business banking and Retail client segments.
Business
• Review, design, and improve product policies and client suitability frameworks for digital assets and FX/derivatives, ensuring compliant risk disclosure, product suitability, and regulatory alignment for individual, retail, and high-net-worth clients.
• Lead business-case formulation and vendor evaluation for digital asset services—custody, wallet providers, blockchain infrastructure—ensuring robust cybersecurity standards (SOC 1/2) and rigorous due diligence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new asset onboarding, integrations, controls, and regulatory assessments, ensuring seamless go-to-market and ongoing compliance for all digital asset products.
• Understand key business policies and processes in Wealth Management, Market and Credit Risk Policy in offering OTC derivatives products and Digital Assets to affluent clients.
• Participate in business-case formulation and vendor due diligence related to FX Derivative counterparties, digital asset issuers and platform integrations.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, legal, and finance teams to address risk controls, fee structures, and client disclosures for both traditional and digital asset products
Platform & Product Creation
• Define and document business and technical requirements for digital asset platforms—including wallet management, coin provenance, settlement, signature workflows, and KYC/AML/Travel Rule (Satoshi test, Signature methodology) —ensuring integration into core banking and risk platforms.
• Coordinate onboarding of new digital asset products, expanding custody and trading infrastructure, and optimizing user experience for both retail and wealth management clients.
• Engage in agile projects to enhance platform capabilities, test new asset functionalities, and support client rollouts.
• Provide structured business feedback to technology, highlighting implementation issues and suitable digital asset solutions.
• Coordinate onboarding of new products/issuers and the expansion of custody solutions, ensuring integration with core banking and risk monitoring systems.
Processes
• Help design, review, and document end-to-end processes for onboarding, trading, settlement, and custody for FX, digital assets and derivatives.
• Maintain up-to-date workflow documentation, checklists, and guidelines; ensure front-to-back process alignment for product launches and changes.
• Monitor and report on product risks, incidents, and control breaches, and assist in drafting responses, mitigation plans, and governance materials for risk committees.
• Support ongoing training and upskilling of front office, operations, and risk teams on new digital asset and derivatives processes, platform capabilities, and regulatory requirements.
People & Talent
• Foster a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and ongoing learning within the digital assets and derivatives teams.
• Share best practices for portfolio review, product suitability analysis, and digital asset ecosystem management with wealth and retail teams.
Risk Management
• Own and oversee global product risk controls for digital assets and FX, including regulatory compliance, daily position monitoring, and risk approval processes.
• Embed strong risk culture, supporting transaction monitoring, coin provenance, money-laundering prevention, and prompt reporting/remediation of issues.
• Ensure service providers and platforms adhere to elevated cybersecurity standards (SOC 1/2, multi-signature, MPC, etc.), with incident response best practices documented and exercised regularly.

• Role is global, physical location is with the Group Wealth Management team in Singapore.

Other Responsibilities
• Perform other responsibilities assigned by Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures
• To achieve annual sales revenue targets

Our Ideal Candidate
• 5 plus years experience in Digital assets and margin trading.
• Licenses Requirement – Financial Advisory Representative or equivalent
• Professional - Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent
• Bank training; i.e. mandatory & developmental – role specific and regulatory/compliance bank wide specific
• Extensive knowledge in financial market products especially in OTC derivatives across FX, IR and EQ.
• Strong risk evaluation experience in OTC derivatives products
