Title: Associate Director, Global Insight

JOB SUMMARY
- As an Associate Director in the Insight Planning and Brand Strategy team, you will be responsible for supporting the Group Insights team, working with stakeholders in Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (“CABM”) and the wider business to provide high quality insights to drive business decisions.
- This role is part of a centralised team in Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (“CABM”). The team’s aim is to continually elevate our brand presence by promoting the proactive utilization of Insights, Data and Analytics in decision making across CABM leadership and all teams.
- Specifically, this role involves working closely with the Insight Director on key brand tracking and research and insight projects, according to the priorities of the function. The role demands an analytical thinker who can work well on multiple deliverables across a range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in quantitative research, strong communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate projects and engage stakeholders. Strong program management capabilities and a keen attention to detail will be essential for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proven experience in quantitative research, ideally across multiple markets or in complex matrix organisations
- Experience with brand research and insights and understanding of how insights drive decision making in brand strategy and activation
- Design and implement research surveys according to business priorities, using appropriate data collection methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research insights into strategic planning
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time
- Ability to translate technical information into actionable recommendations for all stakeholders
- Ability to utilise statistical analysis software to analyse large datasets and extract actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Customise reporting and communication to meet the needs of different stakeholders, ensuring data is relevant and actionable for their specific objective.
- Integrate analysis and insights into a regular reporting rhythm for CABM MT.
- Offer functional expertise and support in the creation of new initiatives within the ID&A field.
- Utilize analytical tools to forecast future trends and understand the evolving expectations of various audiences.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Our Ideal Candidate
• University degree or equivalent business experience
• 5+ years of direct experience in quantitative research in communications & marketing
• Financial quantitative research experience, ideally
Role Specific Technical Competencies
• Consumer insights/ market research/ data analytics
• Successful delivery of large and complex projects or programmes
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking - by using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems
• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and application of market research techniques, and experience in engaging & managing research agencies.
• Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while meeting required goals and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills. Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments.
• Ability to influence internal customers and functional leaders and effectively establish strong working relationships that produce solid results.
• Clear focus on the end customer and how to bring their voice into the bank to help shape our product, service, marketing offerings
• Positive attitude and passion for the job with a strong desire to look for ways to continuously improve the way we do things.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.
