Title: Associate Director, Portfolio Management

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join the Bank’s Group Investment Management team to support transformation portfolio oversight. The role requires an understanding of financial modelling, and is focused in supporting the performance of the portfolio through:
• Maintaining rigorous cost discipline
• Conducting detailed financial analysis on current and potential investments
• Tracking portfolio performance against committed funding and benefits
• Assist in investment prioritisation with a focus on diversification and return optimisation
The team’s objective is to provide an oversight in the investment management portfolio, with a focus on investment prioritisation, benefits capture, efficiency and execution risk. The team works under the guidance of the Global Head of Group Investment Management and the Global Head of Group Transformation. The office also collaborates closely with other senior business and functional leaders in the bank to build and drive the group-wide transformation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Support the Group-wide Investment Portfolio prioritisation approach and embedding the aforementioned process, including ensuring prioritised programmes are aligned to change delivery standards and are delivering the outcomes as per the business cases
• Provides insights into the health and performance of the portfolio and programmes to drive accountability and efficient utilisation of the Group’s investments to achieve its regulatory and strategic objectives
• Drive the Group’s Investment Portfolio planning process including the Corporate Plan
Business
• Support the group investment portfolio review, productivity value capture, and reporting (includes modelling and forecasting of portfolio performance, etc.) to support the investment portfolio prioritisation activities
• Review monthly investment spend by programme and portfolio, including trajectory of resource ramp-up, and measuring forecasting accuracy.
• Support the production of portfolio and programme updates to GTOC and other stakeholders, including GMT and GRC
• Track and report key changes throughout programme lifecycle, including budget, benefits, milestones and scope.
• Work with individual Businesses and Functions to support them in resolving specific issues, including delivery of milestones, budget issues and benefits realisation.

Risk Management
• Identify, assess, monitor risks to the Group related to Change. Support the development and implementation of controls and mitigation plans.
Governance
• Support the timely and accurate reporting to management teams regarding investment portfolio.
• Provide input into the Bank’s Investment Prioritisation approach including monthly Group Transformation Oversight Committee that governs all new transformational change investments in the Bank

Our Ideal Candidate
• 5 + years experience in a finance role, preferably in banking or financial services
• Ability to work on strategic projects as well as day-to-day process-oriented tasks
• Strong financial modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel
• Sound understanding in cost and benefits management
• Ability to work with large data and turning data into insights
• Self-starter, with ability to work effectively under pressure
