JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Director of Private Bank Marketing is responsible for delivering and maintaining the Private Bank’s client materials, sales collateral, and digital platforms. The role ensures outputs are accurate, consistent with brand standards, and designed to enhance the client experience while supporting business development across markets.

It involves end-to-end project coordination – from planning and stakeholder alignment through to content writing, design execution, and final delivery. Key priorities include refreshing materials, maintaining digital channels, and supporting communications that reinforce brand positioning and client engagement.

The ideal candidate should possess strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail and design. Experience in, or understanding of, the financial services industry, particularly Private Banking, is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
•    Support the implementation of Corporate Affairs, Brand & Marketing (CABM) strategies for the regions by delivering high-quality client-facing materials and digital platforms.
•    Manage and execute strategic and tactical projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within agreed scope while working closely with Group, regional, business and product teams across the Bank.
•    Ensure the Brand strategy framework (e.g., brand positioning and brand architecture) is consistently applied across all materials and digital platforms to reinforce overall brand positioning through tone, manner, look and feel. 

Business
•    Contribute to business objectives by ensuring all materials and digital platforms drive engagement, client confidence, and brand strength.
•    Maintain awareness of industry trends and leverage best practice solutions to ensure outputs remain client-relevant, competitive, and aligned with market expectations.

Processes
•    Support the end-to-end management of refresh projects, from planning through to content writing, design execution, and final delivery.
•    Coordinate across multiple stakeholders and regions to gather inputs, secure approvals, and align outputs with business and brand expectations.
•    Uphold rigorous quality control processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail in all deliverables.

People & Talent
•    Act as a strong team player, demonstrating collaboration, setting high standards of delivery, and fostering positive working relationships across internal teams and external partners.

Risk Management
•    Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct, and applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines.
•    Identify and mitigate reputational and operational risks by ensuring compliance with brand standards, country regulations, and approval requirements.

Governance
•    Complete all mandatory training, including e-learning, within stated timeframes to ensure understanding of roles in delivering effective governance.
•    Adhere to established governance and approval frameworks, ensuring all outputs follow required processes.
•    Maintain clear documentation and version control of all deliverables and approvals.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders

•    Internal: Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing (CABM) members, Private Bank Marketing and Communications teams, Global Brand team, Group and Country Compliance and Legal teams, Private Bank Operations, Sales and Management team, Private Bank Group and Country Business Management teams, Private Bank Product and Solutions team, Chief Investment Office.

•    External: Creative agencies, content editors and writers, and other vendors and suppliers

 

Our Ideal Candidate
May be required to perform other responsibilities as assigned under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies and procedures

 

Functional: 

•     6 +years of CABM experience, preferably in the banking/financial services industr

•    This is a direct contract role for a duration of 12 months.
•    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders across functions and geographies.
•    Proven project management experience, delivering initiatives on time while managing multiple priorities and coordinating across teams.
•    Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft, edit, and refine content for clarity and impact.
•    Keen design sense and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand standards.
•    Experience working across digital platforms and communication channels.
•    Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships.
•    Familiarity with the banking and financial services industry; exposure to Private Banking is preferred.
•    Education - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
•    Certifications     Completion of mandatory Bank e-learning modules as required.
•    Languages :   Fluency in written and spoken business communication in mandarin is essential as the communication materials are in traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese format as part of the role..

•    Business Acumen - Understands the Bank’s business and its activities, including organisational and industry-wide matters, and applies such knowledge to business decisions and activities.
•    Content Marketing - Develops compelling and relevant content topic ideas that appeal to the target audience through visual, written or auditory content to retain and engage the target audience to ultimately drive profitable customer action; Enables the brand to create content that enhances engagement, interaction and community connectivity.
•    Creative Content Production - Ideates and develops original non-written creative content (e.g. podcasts, long-form and short-form video content, photo editing, graphic design, advertising collateral etc.) to enhance audience engagement that appeal to customer personas in specific channels (e.g. social media channels, website, app content etc.).
•    Digital Channel Management - Leverages and manages digital channels to deliver the Bank’s value propositions to strengthen brand identity, visibility and reputation.
•    Cost Management - Plans, proactively controls and manages cost in various contexts (e.g. short-term projects) to keep within financial budgets of the business. Leverages on tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor costs.
