Job Summary
The role holder will support the execution of business strategy, performance priorities, governance agenda and transformation initiatives across the Coverage Banking business, acting as a strategic partner to senior management in driving business management discipline, enabling effective decision-making and ensuring coordination across business, product and control functions. The role requires strong cross-functional engagement across Coverage Banking, TB, Markets, Risk, CFCR, ESRM, Finance and Operations teams to support strategic initiatives, governance deliverables, client management priorities and regulatory-driven programmes across global Coverage Banking.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Support development, execution and tracking of Client Coverage strategic priorities, including business planning, performance management and delivery against key objectives.
- Drive management reporting, portfolio analytics and business insights to support senior management decision-making, prioritisation and performance steering.
- Support coordination of leadership forums, committees and business reviews, including preparation of materials, strategic updates and tracking of agreed actions.
- Support delivery of strategic initiatives and business transformation priorities, including operating model enhancements, business simplification and productivity initiatives.
- Drive execution of cross-functional business initiatives involving Coverage, TB, Markets, Risk and Infrastructure stakeholders to support alignment on business priorities and client strategy execution.
- Support governance and execution of client due diligence frameworks, including portfolio oversight, client activity reviews and client management workflows.
Business
- Partner with Coverage, Product and Infrastructure teams to support strategic client initiatives, revenue optimisation opportunities and franchise-wide priorities.
- Coordinate and support enterprise-wide regulatory and strategic programmes impacting the Coverage business, including recovery and resolution planning initiatives, stress testing and regulatory preparedness activities impacting CIB, including engagement with Risk, Finance, Treasury and regulatory stakeholders on balance sheet optimisation, asset rundown and management action frameworks.
- Support development and execution of people and organisational priorities across Coverage, including junior hiring strategy, early careers coordination, workforce planning and talent initiatives.
- Provide structured support to senior leadership on governance, business management and risk-related matters requiring cross-functional coordination and executive-level engagement
Processes
- Monitor and report portfolio performance metrics, management information and strategic KPIs to support effective business oversight and performance discussions.
- Drive discipline around processes, data hygiene and operational efficiency, including identifying opportunities for process improvement, simplification and stronger controls.
- Support execution and tracking of cross-functional priorities and transformation initiatives, including technology, process and operating model enhancements aligned to business and control priorities.
- Support monitoring of key business management processes and controls, including training, attestations, data quality, portfolio processes and other business management deliverables where required.
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide assurance over consistency and accuracy of information, support issue resolution and strengthen execution discipline across processes.
- Coordinate and support production of management information, dashboards and business reporting packs for senior management, governance forums and strategic discussions.
- Drive coordination and tracking of action items arising from governance forums, audits, regulatory engagements and transformation workstreams.
- Support alignment and consistency of business management standards, frameworks and reporting methodologies across regions and Coverage segments.
- Support operational execution of strategic initiatives requiring engagement across multiple functions, jurisdictions and senior stakeholder groups.
Risk Management
- Support oversight of the governance and control agenda across Client Coverage, ensuring effective management of risk, conduct and regulatory priorities.
- Drive coordination of business risk matters with relevant control partners including CFCR, ESRM, ESGR, Ops Risk, Compliance and Audit, supporting strong control discipline and timely remediation where required.
- Support governance and oversight relating to reputational risk, environmental and social risk considerations, client onboarding governance and escalation management processes.
- Support process universe responsibilities under delegated authorities and governance requirements, including maintenance of robust controls, process oversight and adherence to applicable risk management standards.
- Support development and enhancement of governance processes, management information and control frameworks, including oversight of regulatory, policy and business-wide change initiatives impacting the business.
Governance
- Support quality control and oversight of risk agenda items across the portfolio, including coordination on control metrics, issue management and remediation activities.
- Support committee governance, escalation management and preparation of materials for senior governance forums, including matters requiring senior management review or approval.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to support readiness, implementation and compliance relating to regulatory developments, internal policies and governance expectations.
- Support implementation and monitoring of controls relating to client management, transactional governance and franchise-wide business management processes.
- Maintain strong awareness of evolving regulatory expectations and emerging risk themes impacting Coverage, ensuring appropriate escalation, tracking and stakeholder engagement where required.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years’ experience in banking or another financial companies
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance or quantitative field is preferred
- High working knowledge and experience working with large data sets and providing summary analysis with Excel, PowerPoint, VBA and Tableau is essential.
- Experiences in additional analytical tools (e.g. SAS, R) is a plus but not necessary.
- Strong understanding of governance, regulatory and risk management frameworks within corporate and institutional banking environments.
- Experience supporting complex cross-functional initiatives involving senior stakeholders across business, risk and infrastructure functions.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business priorities into structured execution plans and governance outcomes.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive and high-profile initiatives requiring executive-level coordination and stakeholder management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing materials for senior management and governance forums.
- Experience working across global, matrixed organisations with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and regions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to synthesise complex information into actionable insights and management updates.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities, governance expectations and execution requirements within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team orientation. Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural, cross-geographical, matrix environment
- Flexibility and responsiveness in order to handle changing priorities and urgent requests from senior management.
