Job Description: 

Job Summary

Support the Head of GLRR Operations to ensure effective design, oversight & execution of the following key processes:

•    Material Risk Takers (“MRTs”) related processes, including (but not limited to) MRT identification/communication processes, regulatory submissions and deferred compensation modelling/calculations.
•    UK Certification Regime (“CR”) related processes, including (but not limited to) Fit & Proper Assessment processes for Certified Persons (“CPs”), regulatory notifications of CPs and Notified Non-Executive Directors (“NNEDs”), maintenance of CP & NNEDs Master Lists and CP Identification Framework; and 
•    Licensed & Regulated Roles (“LRR”) Operations related processes, including (but not limited to) maintenance of Global LRR Roles Register and regulatory registrations/de-registrations.
•    Draft communication plans and templates related to MRT status notifications, including those to impacted individuals, their People Leaders and the Human Resources teams responsible for the provisional identification during the hiring process. 
•    Advise GLRR/CR/MRT Operations teams to ensure that their processes/controls and corresponding Desk Operating Instructions are fit-for-purpose to comply with the relevant MRT, CR and LRR requirements.

•    Support the Head of GLRR Operations in overseeing offshore operations team, ensuring alignment with agreed SLAs and process. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining clear communication and reporting regularly on progress, challenges and key outcomes.

•    Provide practical advice on MRT processes and requirements to MRTs’ People Leaders and MRTs.
•    Provide practical advice on certification processes and requirements to CPs’ People Leaders and CPs.
•    On-going evaluation of the robustness of LRR, MRT and CR operations, hand-off with other teams and recommend areas for improvements where required.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management
Support the Head of GLRR Operations to establish & manage regular Management Information to monitor:
•    Key Performance Indicators of GLRR/CR Operations teams are met;
•    MRT and CR related risk and operational issues; and
•    LRR related risk and operational issues. 
•    Support the Head of GLRR Operations to establish & manage the appropriate Controls and Control Sample Testings/Key Control indicators to ensure that LRR, MRT, CR operations related risks are identified & mitigated in a timely manner.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    Bachelor's degree in a related field
•    6+ years of Compliance, Risk and Governance work experience in financial services with the ability to collaborate effectively with offshore operations teams.

•    Prior experience of working on Material Risk Taker and/or UK Certification Regime is a plus.

•    Good drafting skills and ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
•    Good ability in interpreting regulatory & internal Bank requirements, and then establishing risk appropriate processes & controls to comply with them.
•    Good knowledge of bank’s general governance and risk management frameworks.
•    Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

•    Successful record of building personal credibility and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
•    Ability to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders from different Businesses and Functions.
