Job Summary
The role of Associate Manager, Business Risk Management, Wealth and Retail Banking Singapore (WRB SG) is responsible for identifying, assessment and management of the end-to-end process risks for assigned processes within Wealth and Retail Banking, Singapore. He/She is also responsible for overseeing the proper execution of the processes in line with standards set out by the Global Process and Risk Framework Owners and Group-wide / Local Regulations.
Role Responsibilities
- Identification and management of end-to-end processes defined by the WRB Process Universe and associated risks for the activities carried out by the business. Collaborating with Country Process Owners in risk management, providing support on risk assessments, proactive thematic reviews and audits management.
- Continuously evaluate and identify operational risk implications of business strategies and initiatives, changes and provide guidance on operational risk impact and remedial actions.
- Ensure adherence to Business Risk Management Objectives and Key Results including Operational risk KPIs of timely escalation and reporting, timely execution of risk assessments, management of risk issues and timely completion with no overdue.
- Taking ownership of risk incident management with Process Owners and co-ordinating with Country / Group Stakeholders.
- Collaborate within Business Risk Management team, Process Owners/Cross functional teams such as Business and Operations teams, Technology teams from 1LOD. Risk Framework Owners at 2LOD are key stakeholders for strong engagements.
- Continuously evaluate and identify business risks for Wealth Solutions that includes new products/business, wealth operations and any related wealth processes. Drive implementation of appropriate controls to mitigate all risk types for WRB, in conjunction with regulatory, thematic and evolving risks considerations within Wealth Solutions.
- Responsible for raising risk awareness of business controls, governance and supervision responsibilities amongst relevant staff in the country and ensure an appropriate risk culture in the team he/she supports.
- Liaise and coordinate in audit reviews.

Our Ideal Candidate
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in risk management in Wealth Management with strong understanding of sales and suitability, wealth operations, wealth systems, processes and risk governance
- Good understanding of FAA and SFA regulations and requirements
- Relevant experience with process design/project management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, writing and communication skills with detailed focused capability to multi-task
- Strong time management and prioritisation ability to deliver within required timelines
- Strong ability to execute and deliver the requirements with high quality outcomes
- Possess problem solving skills, with good judgement and good negotiation skills to deal with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in cross functional risk issues identification, assessment and management with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, take proactive lead in risk management
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Risk Management or a related field.
