Job Summary

  • We are looking  for a highly skilled person, with strong communication skill to support a critical workstream within CDD team focusing on implementing of Projects or Initiatives to comply with Group/Country Policy and Procedure and Strategies
  • Execute and implement initiatives and project to ensure the Bank operates in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, Group/Country policies and standards, especially on AML CDD and FATCA/CRS.
  • This role will require production of high-quality and timely output aligned to relevant SCB Polices/Standards, and delivered within prescribe timeline.
  • Advice on best project management practices to support the Business to optimise outcomes will also be required.
  • Regular outputs will be presented to senior stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • To Support CDD Ops head and relevant CDD Ops lead to support the implementation of policies and procedures end to end for the country ensuring consistency with regulation, Group standards and ensures these are, and it remain, firmly embedded. 
  • To support CDD Ops head and other CDD Ops lead for successful roll out of projects and process in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, Group/Country policies and standards, for the prevention of money laundering
  • Review relevant policies/processes in relations to CDD compliance, aligning to relevant regulatory and group requirements. 
  • Support the implementation of policies and standards to ensure compliance with such policies and standards.
  • Creating timelines, milestones, and deliverables to contribute to effective project planning on the changes to be rolled out
  • Following up on the progress of action items and other tasks and ensuring that tasks are delivered to ensure within timelines.
  • Scheduling meetings, conference calls, and progress of changes or roll out related events with team members and relevant stakeholders
  • Seeking opportunities for process improvements and making recommendations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams that include a diverse range of personalities and skills
  • Apply Group and Country CDD policies and processes (AML surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks.
  • Assess risks arising from products / segments / geographies / customers / transactions.
  • Make recommendations to relevant stakeholders on possible risk management responses to identified risks and/ or findings of concern from investigations- at client and portfolio level
  • Work with group, country, and hive teams to actively identify and advocate opportunities of digitalization and automation.
  • Track and Manage CDD performance, KPI, and Capacity plan  
  • Adopt simplified/automatic process to eliminate human intervention for cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of working experience in relevant Banking domain
  • Familiar with regulations with regards to CDD
  • Bachelor degree in Banking or Finance preferred
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, organisational skills and process discipline to drive multiple agendas.
  • Creative problem-solver with good multi-tasking skills, able to prioritise issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Creative, self-assured and professional person with high-levels of drive, desire and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent attention to detail whilst maintaining the focus on ‘the big picture’.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Ability, adaptability and level-headedness to handle interactions at the seniormost and all other levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage numerous initiatives/ deliverables in parallel and deliver in a timely and effective fashion.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to handle changing priorities and urgent requests from senior management.
  • Maintain discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are must have

  • Strong Experience in handling projects and process independently
  • Experience in Retail and SMA Banking
  • Understanding of MAS and CDD guidelines
  • Process implementation Experience
  • Project Management experience
