Job Summary
What do SACS team cover?
- Sub-Advisor and Customised Solutions (SACS) team is part of the Group Advisory and Managed Investments team (Wealth Solutions) within SCB. Group Advisory and Managed Investments team covers Funds, Alternative Investments and ETFs and owns the approval process for these products across the retail and private bank segments.
- SACS team covers two key Managed Investments product ranges: 1) Signature Securities Portfolios (SSP) - a set of portfolios of individual securities, actively managed based on model portfolios by select third-party sub-advisors; 2) SC Funds umbrella – a range of white label mutual funds managed by third-party sub-investment managers and distributed exclusively by Standard Chartered Bank. Besides, our team also support the development of a competitive private market co-investment platform, with the aim to give our ultra high net worth private bank clients access to single private deals globally.
What would this role cover?
- Lead the onboarding process of new third-party sub-investment managers, particularly on preparing and collaging documents for internal governance committee approvals.
- Lead the ongoing reviews and approval process of all third-party sub-investment managers, at both global and local governance forums.
- Support production and regular updating of marketing collaterals, including but not limited to pitchbooks, brochures, factsheets, internal communication emails.
- Support the preparation of materials for internal engagements and presentations, as well as various internal fiduciary reporting forums.
- Support the team on various day-to-day activities, for example coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, responding to frontline’s questions and requests, organizing virtual events, record keeping, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management
- Embed a risk culture that support the Bank’s strategy and philosophy for the management of risk and may be called upon to define risk policy within scope of responsibility
- Ensure that effective arrangements are in place within WS in the region for the prevention of money laundering in line with the Group Policy and Standards, respective country regulatory guidelines and local legal requirements. In particular, ensure that the obligations on reporting suspicious activities are met.
- Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder’s attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to the relevant Risk Committees.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Education
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with an Economics/Finance background
- Training
- Detail oriented, organized, problem-solving skills, quick learner, able to work under tight timelines.
- 3years experience in Morningstar and Bloomberg skills preferred.
