Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable Business Systems Support Engineer to provide operational and technical support for our business applications and associated technology assets.
This role is responsible for ensuring that our business systems — such as Mis/Reporting, GRC, collaboration, and productivity platforms — are reliable, secure, and effectively supported. The engineer will provide end-user assistance, manage access and configuration, liaise with vendors, and maintain accurate records of software assets, licenses, and contracts.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a collaborative yet independent environment, is comfortable troubleshooting diverse SaaS and enterprise applications, and is eager to contribute to our growing ecosystem — especially as we adopt more AI-driven and security-conscious solutions.
Business
1. Application Support and Administration
• Provide day-to-day operational and production support for core business applications (CRM, HR, finance, collaboration, etc.).
• Manage user access, roles, permissions, and configuration settings in line with security policies.
• Monitor application performance, uptime, and error logs; identify and resolve incidents promptly.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for issue escalation, updates, and releases.
• Provide training, knowledge articles, and onboarding sessions to improve user confidence and productivity.
• Identify automation opportunities for repetitive administrative or monitoring tasks.
• Contribute to system governance, risk management, and audit-readiness initiatives.
2. Troubleshooting and Incident Management
• Investigate application issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable resolutions.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions, and preventive actions.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities related to business applications.
3. Application Onboarding and Change Support
• Participate in the assessment, testing, and onboarding of new business applications.
• Assist in integration activities and environment setup during implementation.
4. Security and Compliance
• Work closely with the Head of Security Solutions to ensure that all applications align with organisational security standards.
• Support periodic access reviews, policy enforcement, and compliance reporting.
5. Continuous Improvement
• Capture feedback and identify recurring issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improving support processes, automation, and monitoring.
• Stay informed about trends in business applications, AI integration, and cyber security best practices.

Skills and Experience
Essential
• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in production support, application administration, or IT operations.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based business applications (e.g. Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Atlassian Suite, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with user access management, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with incident management and ticketing tools (e.g. Jira Service Management, Freshservice).
Preferred / Desirable
• Exposure to AI tools or applications (e.g. workflow automation, AI assistants, analytics platforms).
• Interest or foundational knowledge in cyber security principles and controls.
• Basic understanding of API integrations, SSO, or identity management (Azure AD, Okta, etc.).
• Experience with scripting languages such as powershell or Python for automation of tasks
• Understanding of IT governance and audit principles (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Collaborative attitude, but comfortable taking ownership of tasks end-to-end
