JOB SUMMARY

Our Business Architects drive the end-to-end orchestration of overarching operating model decisioning, including underlying capabilities and business services across the Client Lifecycle of Onboarding, Maintenance / Review, and Offboarding. You are detail oriented and able to keep a macro view across both BAU and Change Initiatives, ensuring optimal collaboration and delivery of strategic objectives. You function as a ‘servant leader’, driving key design deliverables and the socialisation and alignment of these throughout the organisation, across Business Operations, and IT.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
•    The Business Architect team plays a key role in bridging and translating the various teams and initiatives across strategy and execution within the COO, working with the DDCP Management and a wide network of other partners, to define and support our strategic objectives, focused on value add for both clients and the SCB business
•    Leading delivery role across CLM bau and transformation to define functional design for strategic change, and functions as representative for similar initiatives across the wider DDCP organisation
•    Supports the Chief Business Architect in ensuring continuous optimisation and striving for a best-in-class operating model across the end-to-end CLM journey, balancing core business objectives with operational targets and regulatory requirements.
•    Works closely with Product Owners, Programme Managers and representatives across domains to ensure consideration and alignment of the holistic ecosystem 
•    Continuous collaboration with Technology and its Solution Architects to drive a comprehensive enterprise architecture
•    Works with other segment and product partners to align and converge investment plans
•    Leverage on experience within a variety of financial institutions to work with our vendors and product partners to deliver business, operational and technical transformation 

Business
•    Fulfils a leading role in the definition and delivery of target and interim operating models and end-to-end business / functional architectural design for the CLM Transformation programme
•    Takes ownership for specific capability design elements such as Channel integrations, Product Provisioning and downstream integrations, and/or core CLM capabilities (Entity Mgmt, KYC, Tax, Reg DD and Offboarding & Dormancy), and ensures the delivery thereof 
•    Utilises thought leadership and experience across a variety of Client Lifecycle topics to steer, influence and support the business strategy and realisation of critical business objectives
•    Works with the Business, Product Owners, Global Process Owners, Policy teams and others in understanding current state issues, mapping these to business led solutions and business advantages 
•    Supports in identifying opportunities for optimisation in execution of business strategy within CLM, leveraging insights from the wider SCB organisation
•    Ensures change initiatives within the portfolio are aligned to group strategy and DDCP / COO scorecard, ensuring synergies, and efficiency and effectiveness of overall delivery is maximised

•    Ensuring technology capability maximises automation and digitisation of Client Lifecycle processes
•    Drives the business architectural design across core processes within the Client Lifecycle and ancillary domains such as CRM, Credit, Channels and anti-Financial Crime
•    Be knowledgeable and remain up to date about industry solutions and evolution of offerings that SCB can leverage

People & Talent
•    Advocate a high-performance culture, with a broad representation of backgrounds, domain expertise, skills and capabilities fitting within the CC domain and SCB business as a whole
•    Support the Chief Business Architect and Management in cascading strategic objectives to delivery teams
•    Responsible for continuous (self-)development and performing ongoing industry research

Risk Management
•    Ensure adherence to ORF standards
•    Play an active role in reducing the number of high residual risk areas
•    Management of vendor delivery to costs and capabilities – including contract / SOWs review

Governance
•    Responsible for managing and enforcing the product governance framework. 
•    Membership of senior committees including RF, QPR and similar
•    Operates within the standards set out by the SDF framework

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. •    Supports the Business Architecture team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles 
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal candidate

•    10+ years of experience with a proven track record across CLM within Investment Banking as subject matter expert, Management / Business Consultant or equivalent
•    Demonstrable experience in different Banks with a global footprint
•    Thorough understanding of the end-to-end client lifecycle, including several of its key components such as KYC, Regulatory Classifications, Tax, Credit, Data Management, CRM and end-to-end Case Management
•    Delivery-first mindset, with proven track record of transformation delivery
•    Hands-on experience with large scale technology delivery
•    Relevant insights on the current state of Institutional Banking across different regions, including challenges, client needs, typical obstacles and opportunities across financial services
•    Ability to explain functional and technical concepts to senior stakeholders - understanding of dependencies, ability to translate strategy into action, and experienced with senior governance structures
•    Natural networker with outstanding presentation and analytical skills
