Job Summary

The key responsibilities of Client Accountant include overseeing a team of accountants, report to and support their Team Leader of Accounting Team under PvB Business Utility Team, in handling all matters relating to accounting and invoicing for trust structures managed by SCTS and preparation of External Asset Management Retrocession Fee statements for PvB FIM desk and any other projects assigned to support SCB PvB in achieving business operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Business
•  With the awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model, coupled with staying abreast of industry news, provide financial information support for business consideration. 


Processes
For those relating to PVB: 
•    Assist in preparation of External Asset Management Retrocession Fee statements for PvB FIM desk and provide status update to management.
•    Assist PvB in any project assigned.

 

For those relating to SCTS: 
•    Bookkeep the accounts and prepare financial statements of trust structure and company managed by the SCTS. 
•    Peer review of financial statements for less complex structures.
•    Liaise with external auditors and tax agents in relation to the financial statements of the company and/or trust structure where audit and tax returns are regulatory required.
•    Assist in issuance of SCTS fee invoices when the fees for trust structures are due.
•    Assist in preparing any internal (e.g. Review RM scorecard (AUM reported), equity aggregation report, extraction of investment 
     review data etc) or external reporting where information required is relating to trust and company managed by SCTS.
•    Assist in preparing data for annual MAS and CRS/FATCA filings and any ad-hoc regulator surveys.
•    Keep up-to-date with any regulatory and GAAP changes in regard to financial statements.
•    Participate in annual User Acceptance Testing any system migration and ad-hoc projects when required.

•  Ability to have a controls centred mind while conducting day to day operations, identify key issues and propose course of mitigation.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    ACCA, AAT, CPA, or recognised accountancy degree 
•    5 +years of experience in finance and client accounting roles, prior working experience in Trust companies or banks will be advantageous.
•    Member of Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, if applicable.
