Title: CMPS Business Manager

Key Responsibilities
Business
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives across Group, Region, and Country from a COO team perspective:
- Enable business initiatives, including the facilitation of booking models to support new business flows.
- Implement process improvements and platform enhancements to increase operational efficiencies and incorporate effective risk management where possible.
- Maintain awareness of the broader business, economic, and market environment in which the Group operates, and drive the adoption of initiatives at the country level.
Risk Management
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on the implementation and maintenance of CMPS products across asset classes, ensuring adherence to minimum governance standards.
- Identify risks and implications of business initiatives to develop effective risk management strategies and participate in the investigation and review of new, thematic, and emerging risks through various forums and control metrics.
- Provide operational risk advice and support during audits and peer reviews, ensuring proper follow-up on issues and reporting requests.
- Escalate issues, challenges, and trends to the Regional Lead, Business Heads, and relevant stakeholders as required.
Governance
- Assist the Business Unit Head by providing oversight of the team's operations, identifying potential risks, and ensuring the timely and proactive delivery of business initiatives through recommendations and implementation of action plans.
- Develop and maintain proper documentation, such as Procedures, Department Operating Instructions (DOIs), and FAQs, for key business processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policy requirements by aiding in the documentation of processes with key stakeholders to maintain proper record-keeping.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
- Group / Country - Head of CMPS, Product Managers, Product Owners, Desk Heads, Dealers and Treasury Specialists
- Group / Country Support Functions, e.g. COO, Legal, CFCR, OR, BRM, Operations, Finance
- Internal Audit / External Audit
Skills and Experience
Our Ideal Candidate
- 7+ years of experience in the banking industry, with a strong exposure in Wealth Management
- Having in-depth knowledge in Capital Markets products and exposure to audit / risk / product / regulatory / policies management would be an advantage.
- Proven history of managing key stakeholders and demonstration of problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Able to multitask and manage different initiatives at a time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong in verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
