Job Summary
- Support transaction processing and related activities involving Collections and Clearing (FAST, IBG, PayNow & SGQR), Payments products and services for Cash Management Services (CMS).
- Ensure that all collections, clearing and payments transaction processing and related functions and CMS support functions undertaken on behalf of the bank and/or its customers are expeditiously and accurately executed so as to maintain a high standard of customer service, as well as to avoid any monetary loss.
- Ensure that electronic and manual collections, clearing and payments undertaken on behalf of the bank and/or its customers are expeditiously and accurately executed so as to maintain a high standard of customer service, as well as to avoid any monetary loss.
- Handle collections, clearing and payments transaction processing and related activities. Ensure that the quality and delivery of all processes performed meet the minimum standards and requirement.
- Assist in collating of statistics pertaining to the transactions processed by team members for resource planning and MIS.
- Provide relief duties when required.
- Support new volume, products and functions as determined by the Senior Manager or Head CMS.
- Prevent reconciliation shortfall / backlog. Ensure the agreed timeline and standards are met for items that are outstanding in suspense, sundry and Nostro accounts and the RPR.
- Adherence to Group policies, procedures, service standards and performance measurements.
- Support cost reduction, channel management, automation and straight-through processing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with the Group's Policy and standards and in-country regulatory requirements and laws pertaining to AML and CFT
- Facilitate and support the Bank's efforts in combating money-laundering and terrorism financing activities.
- Support effective governance, oversight and controls in the Global Business Services (GBS).
- Support service quality and process improvement projects
- To ensure adherence of all controls and procedures as detailed in the DOI.
- To maintain a positive working relationship with personnel of the other sections/divisions of the bank.
- Support all maintenance and delivery of initiatives and other reporting.
- To participate and contribute in Cash related projects as assigned. Ensure all the system functionalities are reviewed and UAT or UVT are performed as accordingly before management’s sign off.
- Recommend and advise on benefits of system changes, automation and centralization of process.
- Support technological changes in processing systems and highlight if these changes will disrupt or affect BAU activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Adherence to Group policies, procedures, service standards and performance measurements
- Support the same strategic agenda and priorities with Group Cash
- Support overall resource structure plans, ensure commitment to, and compliance with, productivity goals in a strategic cost management environment.

- Ensure the reconciliation of payments and Charges related transactions are performed timely.
- Support standardized process and procedures to ensure success transfer of best practices, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Identify and support the deployment of technologies and tools to achieve efficiencies.
- Support collections, clearing and payments transaction processing and related functions and CMS support functions undertaken on behalf of the bank and/or its customers are expeditiously and accurately executed so as to maintain a high standard of customer service, as well as to avoid any monetary loss.
- Support the department on matters relating to operational risks and controls to ensure compliance against internal and regulatory policies and guidelines
- Identify and highlight key issues and risks.
- To adhere strictly to MAS regulation 626 (Prevention of Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism)
- Adhere to all controls which have been implemented to mitigate the risk of MAS626 breach
- Ensure regulatory reporting is submitted punctually.
- Support the department in monitoring the quality and delivery of all processes performed by GBS meet the minimum standards and requirement.
- Participate in periodic Risk and Process review of internal and external stakeholders.
Our Ideal Candidate
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Banking operations
- Sound knowledge in collections, clearing and payments operations and customer service.
- A sound knowledge of SWIFT, local and international payment, clearing and collection methods and settlement arrangements. Ability to translate knowledge to support business initiatives.
- Understand operational risk management
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of banking law and practices.
