It offers a holistic suite of payment and liquidity management solutions to our clients whilst being at the forefront of product innovation. Cash Management business is a key CIB pillar and major contributor to the bank’s overall liquidity pool, revenue and returns. It is a significant and value accretive business with tremendous opportunity for further growth. 
The Liquidity, Account Services & Escrow Solutions Group Product Management team is hiring an Associate Director, Group Cash Product who will have an exciting opportunity to direct and influence the development of our Account Management solution roadmap to build innovative solutions for our corporate and institutional clients across the bank’s footprint.

Standard Chartered is investing significantly in its transaction banking capabilities to meet clients and business needs globally whilst increasing operational efficiency and deliver best in-class transaction banking products. In this role the individual will be responsible for identifying opportunities, validating business case and leading agile squads to deliver solutions to meet our changing business and client requirements. 

Your priorities will span across the umbrella of solutions within Account Services, with primary focus on Client Account Services and Structured Account Management.  This role partners closely with business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, legal at group and country level to define the strategy, translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions, ensure product remains aligned with evolving client needs, regulatory requirements and market expectations.  Key responsibilities include managing development, enhancements and strategic initiatives, leading requirements gathering and solution design discussions with technology teams, assessing regulatory and risk considerations and developing onboarding frameworks, commercialisation material and overseeing rollout activities.  The role is account able for tracking commercialisation performance and benefits, ensuring investments deliver business outcomes.  In additional the Product Manager supports the ongoing maintenance of interest pricing capabilities through our pricing and billing platform including rate adjustment initiatives, pricing enhancements and governance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy execution:
•    Lead and influence delivery of Account Management strategy and value proposition, specifically in the areas of consulting, competitor analysis, process design, governance, and control. 
•    Identify opportunities within the proposition and jointly develop such opportunities into viable client value propositions that will drive value for clients.
•    Work with our Service & Client Implementation, Sales, Operations and regional product teams to document business requirements for new products and for enhancements to existing products and processes.
•    Develop product delivery roadmap aligned with product commercialisation strategy.

Delivery of new product and enhancement
•    Work independently to manage change (including articulation of detailed use-cases, solutioning and agile delivery) to ensure functionality matches business requirements. 
•    Defining operating model and client implementation procedures in conjunction with Operations, Client Implementation teams, Client Service Group and Technology partners 
•    Adopt and embed both Change Delivery Standard (CDS) and Group’s Enterprise Software Delivery Lifecycle (eSDLC) throughout the lifecycle of the product. 
•    Product Owner for Agile Delivery - Owns, prioritizes, and maintains the product backlog within the Hive/ squads ensuring the highest-priority items are delivered first.
•    Monitoring the implementation of the end-to-end delivery of projects including testing and production verification runs
•    Perform executive program reporting of progress update, risk, issues and mitigating actions

Product rollouts to countries 
•    Develop commercialisation and go-to-market material to support internal and external training, marketing and business development opportunities.
•    Execute on client communication strategy, client migration plan and commercialisation roadmap
•    Track successful commercialisation and ensure benefit realisation against committed benefit case

On-going enhancement and upkeep of product and platforms
•    Ensuring product and platform compliance to group and local regulatory compliance
•    Managing the annual platform upkeep and related partner upgrade projects 
•    Continuous process and product improvement to improve operations flexibility and business relevance 
•    Forward planning for pipeline initiatives and annual product roadmap

Stakeholder Management:
•    Ensuring synchronisation of efforts across multiple stakeholders across Program Management, Digital Channels, IT, Operations, Risk and Control 
•    Maintain regular connect and engagement with key stakeholders periodically. Addressing stakeholder concerns and managing expectations 
•    Lead parallel teams to work towards optimising the product value based on continuous feedback and by refining the backlog.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Ensure adherence to all governance policies and framework in all aspects of deliverables. Complete all required governance and regulatory obligation and training where applicable
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    5 plus years of related experience in Cash product management, with demonstrated ability to guide and manage platform renewal programmes.
•    Good understanding of cash management solutions, experience working across multiple markets, with specific focus on account management solutions and deposits.  
•    Strong product development and project management skills, including high attention to detail and facilitation experience
•    Strong experience of working collaboratively and independently
•    Strong analytical, data interpretation skills and business acumen. 
•    Proactive and independent in developing solutions to issues and challenges
•    Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and interpersonal skills; with clear demonstration of ability to work across markets, time zones and cultures.
