Job Description: 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Digital Currencies Product Manager. The successful candidate will work end-to-end across multiple domains, collaborating with product teams, enterprise architects, technology teams, compliance, legal and operational risks to design and commercialize digital currency solutions that align with the bank’s strategic goals and target architecture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in cash management domain across payments, collections and technical expertise and payments functional knowledge, with the ability to write and drive end-to-end solution documents, guide, steward, teams on detailed implementation requirements, and evangelize digital currencies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

•    Product Development and Delivery
•    Actively drive, design and develop end to end product lifecycle across ideation, specification, build and launch. Manage disparate stakeholders to a common goal and enforce the necessary steps in moving delivery and the conditions for aligned activity on time. 
•    Ensure product features, requirements are clearly defined and articulated to engineering and testing teams. Actively participate in delivery execution and management of issues and risks 
•    Cross functional leadership
•    Collaborate and work closely with cross functional teams such as engineering, testing, design as well as functions such as risk, legal, compliance to ensure common understanding of product features 
•    Manage the timing and flow of technology requirements across different disciplines, skills, organizational silos for delivery of a holistic integrated set of solutions to clients
•    Act as central co-ordination point to unblock cross functional issues, obtain alignment and work closely with partners to deliver on product roadmap
•    Product Strategy 
•    Define and articulate product vision aligned with business goals. Translate strategic priorities into clear product roadmaps
•    Identify market opportunities, customer needs and long-term product direction

•    Customer and Market Insights
•    Develop deep understanding of client journey’s, workflows and leverage on data, user feedback and insights to share product decisions
•    Keep up to date on market developments, competitor analysis and customer discovery
•    Governance and Compliance: 
•    Ensure digital currency solutions comply with regulatory, security, and operational risk requirements.
•    Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to address emerging regulatory challenges related to digital currencies
•    Provide written submissions to the various risk committees, IT risk, CISO, Data privacy, cloud engineering, architecture, legal, digital Asset risk, compliance and CFCC related requirements and forums. 
•    Represent digital currency products across bank wide risk management forums
•    Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Willingness to ‘speak up’ in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues
•    Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

•    Processes
•    Work with internal and external stakeholder to drive positive change towards the delivery of a sustainable digital currency solutions with the objectives of delivering competitive edge and a sustainable client experience. This will include operating instructions, manuals and the related process approvals for the execution of such processes in the Bank.
•    Evangelism and Thought Leadership: 
•    Act as a digital currency’s evangelist within the bank, promoting awareness and understanding of stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and their potential impact on the financial ecosystem.
•    Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in digital currencies, blockchain, and payments, and their implications for the bank.
•    Represent the bank in internal and external forums to showcase the bank’s digital currency initiatives.
•    Regulatory and Business Conduct: 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    10+ years of payments related experience in payments product management, with demonstrated ability to guide and manage platform development.
•    Good understanding of cash management, treasury and experience working across multiple markets, with specific focus in the European, American and Middle east markets
•    Strong project management skills, including high attention to detail and facilitation experience
•    Strong experience of working collaboratively and independently
•    Proactive and independent in developing solutions to issues and challenges
•    Strong business writing skills, communication and presentation skills
•    Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and interpersonal skills with clear demonstration of ability to work across markets, time zones and cultures.
