A CFCR Advisory role for Transaction Banking (TB) focused providing expert, risk-based support to business and/or functional teams (dependent on CFCR team remit) on digital asset activities, ensuring consistent application of frameworks, regulatory integration, and capability development across the enterprise for Cash. SCB has a strong global heritage as a leading cash management bank, and this is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned risk manager to support a growing business that is at the forefront of contributing to global economies. The role holder will join the Group CFCR Transaction Banking Advisory team in their capacity as Director, CFCR Advisory, TB, Cash and support the Executive Director, Group CFCR Advisory TB, Cash, in managing all compliance, financial crime and conduct risks relating to TB Cash business, covering all TB Cash product and service offerings, especially the Clearing services supported by teams sitting in the location. 

Key Responsibilities

The role holder will be responsible:

•    To help the Group meet its commitment of being "Here for Good" by building a sustainable framework that places Compliance, Conduct and FCR best practice standards, at the forefront of the Group's agenda.
•    The primary responsibilities aim to ensure consistent interpretation of regulatory requirements, knowledge sharing, and effective training delivery, while advocating for digital asset compliance within the broader framework of the DA CFCR Hub.
•    Deliver timely, risk-informed advice on digital asset products, clients, and transactions in the context of the team’s remit and responsibilities.
•    Apply enterprise frameworks, policies, and standards in business-specific contexts.
•    Support design and review of controls within business activities, product approval and governance, and client lifecycle processes, as applicable.
•    Identify emerging risks and escalate complex/novel scenarios to the DA CFCR Hub.
•    Contribute to the process optimization and digital enablement of DA CFCR activities, e.g., workflow tools, dashboards, and ACR.
•    Partner with the business, where appropriate, to embed DA compliance aspects.
•    Ensure that BAU DA work references and aligns with enterprise DA CFCR outcomes to drive consistency and support organizational goals.

Strategy
•    Contribute materially towards the development, support and implementation the DA vision, strategy, direction and leadership for Executive Director, Group CFCR Advisory TB, Cash, consistent with the Global Head, CFCR Advisory, TB vision and strategy for the CFCR function and in support of the Bank’s strategic direction and growth aspirations. 
•    Provide consistent support to colleagues with responsibilities for CIB Advisory TB. Drive an increased awareness of CFCR Advisory TB technical and strategic knowledge in regions and countries to sharpen focus on how local regulatory reform impacts the client segments. Emphasise global standards.
Business
•    Build and maintain an effective and constructive relationship with all key business and functional stakeholders that is based on trust, capability and integrity, providing timely, responsive and quality regulatory compliance advice and guidance to enable the business and functions to meet/ achieve their strategic/tactical objectives.
•    Provide robust challenge to business and functional stakeholders where activities are outside risk tolerance/ appetite, escalating as necessary, until appropriate oversight and ownership is achieved including actions and plans to address any remedial action needed to come back within risk tolerance/ appetite.
•    Work closely with TB business to provide timely regulatory compliance advice to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and support the transition to pro-active and pre-emptive compliance and conduct risk mitigation.
•    Provide and communicate timely CFCR related advice, analysis (and challenge when appropriate) in relation to TB business including product design through to post sale reviews / assessments, new business initiatives, bespoke projects, remedial activities (including nature, scale and rigour of past business reviews), and transactional advice.
•    Taking ownership of incoming queries by not handing them off, taking a leading role in actively becoming the go-to person for the business/function and ensuring advice provided is consistent throughout CFCR Advisory in relation to TB Business, and ensuring there is timely and proactive reporting to the oversight of Executive Director, Group CFCR Advisory TB, Cash. 
•    Support the provision of timely regulatory compliance advice to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and support the transition to pro-active and pre-emptive compliance and conduct risk mitigation.

Processes
•    Maintain functional and practical alignment with DA COE Hub to ensure consistent interpretation of regulatory requirements and policy intent.
•    Participate/lead for Cash where appropriate, cross-CFCR (and other functions, if applicable) calibration sessions and thematic reviews led by the DA CFCR hub. 
•    Contribute knowledge sharing though documenting case precedents, lessons learned and insights for the enterprise knowledge base. 
•    Support the design and delivery of training modules aligned to key DA risk themes or specific to Cash CFCR products and/or personas. 
•    Act as a key agent (or lead, where asked) on DA for Cash CFCR advocacy, regulatory consultation, policy updates and rollout, updates to frameworks and guidance both internal in the function and with the business as required in the BAU Cash CFCR team’s remit
Risk Management

•    Support efforts to ensure the effective management of Casj CFCR matters, management of regulatory issues that have a significant impact on the Bank and support relevant stakeholders to respond to regulatory questions. 
•    In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure appropriate and timely escalation within the Group and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased. Ensure proactive and timely identification, assessment, advice and dissemination of evolving regulatory changes/practices and associated risks impacting TB business.
•    Collaborate with other CFCR teams to support a programme for conduct, financial crime and compliance monitoring, surveillance and/or assurance for TB Cash business. 
•    Support the provision of robust second line challenge and oversight of risk acceptance, mitigating action plans and processes owned by Cash business including (but not limited to) specific Risk Framework Owner oversight of processes in Cash business. Pro-active identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders. Ensuring there is timely and proactive reporting to the group oversight of Executive Director, Group CFCR Advisory TB, Cash.
•    Ensure effective management of compliance matters, and in collaboration with the rest of the Compliance team, effectively manage regulatory issues that have a significant impact on the Bank.
•    Provide reports and/or escalate to relevant risk and control committees and management group on key CFCR risks and issues. 
•    Maintain adequate management MI / trackers across all aspects of their coverage and responsibility to ensure all issues and matters are tracked, followed, regularly assessed and reported on.

Governance
•    Within the Group's overall Enterprise Risk Management Framework, support the appropriate risk based CFCR frameworks for identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, mitigating and reporting compliance (including regulatory and financial crime) risks across TB business.
•    Support the development and recommend (for approval by the relevant Risk Committee), appropriate compliance policies and procedures. 
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Ensuring there is timely escalation and proactive reporting to the group oversight of Executive Director, Group CFCR Advisory TB, Cash.
