Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Global Head Bancassurance and working closely with the Global and market Insurance teams . This role will be responsible for helping set the strategic direction for insurance growth and planning the initiatives to ensure our strategy, processes and investment priorities are aligned with the leadership vision & direction.

Responsibilities

Overall

The purpose of this role is to lead the development of innovative health, wellness, and insurance propositions for our retail banking customers across individual and SME segments.

This role sits at the intersection of financial services, health ecosystems, and digital platforms, and will focus on creating customer-centric solutions that integrate insurance protection, preventive wellness services, and digital health experiences.

The successful candidate will drive product strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and end-to-end delivery, helping to build differentiated value propositions that improve customer engagement, support healthier lifestyles, and generate sustainable revenue growth.

To achieve this, the role holder is required to perform the following:

Product strategy and proposition development
•    Refine the strategy and roadmap for health, wellness, and insurance propositions within the bank’s overarching health and wellness proposition.  
•    Identify opportunities to integrate health and wellness (across protection, prevention and digital health) into core banking products and segment propositions and journeys. 
•    Expand the ecosystem of value-added health & wellness capabilities – conduct market scan and key trends, identify and support partnership builds with key ecosystem players. 
•    Conduct market analysis, analyse customer behaviour, and competitive benchmarking across banks, insurers, and health-tech platforms. 
•    Develop concepts and supporting business cases to drive innovation and portfolio growth.

End to end delivery and market enablement 
•    Work closely with country and Group bancassurance, segment, distribution and other product teams to deliver proposition elements from design to development and launch. Lead partner integrations and joint go-to-market initiatives working closely with the partners, countries and other stakeholders as applicable. 
•    Manage product backlogs and prioritise development with partners based on business impact and customer value.
•    Collaborate closely with One Delivery as appropriate to deliver digital health capabilities and roadmap alignment, including ideation and support execution as appropriate. 
•    Establish relevant frameworks and cadences to build market roadmaps in alignment with Group and country strategy and aspirations.  

Commercial Performance & Growth
•    Focus on and lead delivery of key financial outcomes for health including financial and non-financial (e.g. milestones, client engagement) metrics. Lead performance management discussions with relevant stakeholders. 
•    Revenue Growth/Value Drivers: Year-on-year growth in GWP & Value Driver metrics generated from health, wellness, and insurance propositions.
•    Segment Penetration Rate: Percentage of various segments who take up insurance or wellness add-ons through the platform.
•    Revenue/Income [Product Profitability]: Income & Net profit margin of health and wellness products, after accounting for development, integration, and operational costs.

•    Product Mix / Cross-Sell Ratio: Number of additional products or services sold per health and wellness customer, indicating success in deepening relationships.
•    Market Share: SCB market Share of health and wellness-linked financial products within the target market compared to competitors.
•    Work closely with Retail Analytics, Digital Sales and Marketing (DSM) and other relevant stakeholders, including insurance partners to develop analytics models to sharpen segmentation and targeting. Any experience in these subject areas will be helpful.  
•    Develop monetisation strategies for health and wellness capabilities ensuring data-led refinement of existing capabilities and development of future roadmap. 

Stakeholder Management
•    Support strategic C-suite communications which can take the form of board papers, strategy decks or Management Team updates.
•    Ability to work across multiple teams including technology, marketing, operations, and compliance
•    Experience managing external partners and vendors
•    Strong communication and presentation skills

Our Ideal Candidate

•    12+ years of experience preferably in product management, proposition development, or innovation experience
•    Experience in at least one of the following sectors will be preferred: 
•    Health insurance
•    Insurtech or digital health
•    Banking or financial services
•    Employee benefits or wellness platforms
•    Proven track record of project management in launching new products or ecosystem partnerships
•    Strong strategy/analysis skills: Background in management consulting with a track record of progression/ project leadership and experience delivering digital strategy transformation projects for financial services 
•    Ability to problem-solve effectively across a wide range of topics and can synthesize and present complex issues/strategic choices in a C-suite relevant manner.  
•    Ability to adapt and work effectively in a matrix organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight.
•    Strong collaboration, consensus building, problem resolution and communication skills are a prerequisite.
