Title: Director, Hive Tech Lead - Treasury Analytics

Job Summary
• Standard Chartered needs a Hive Tech Lead to drive the success of the combined Treasury Analytics journey. This role sits within Treasury Technology team and will work closely with Treasury COO, Finance Operations, Treasury Markets, Treasury Risk and Treasury Technology teams.
• The Hive Tech Lead will be accountable to drive technology strategy, project delivery, process, people agenda, risk and governance of the journey.
Strategy
• Responsible - Awareness of SCB’s group strategy and steer hive strategy to achieve group outcomes
• Responsible - Alignment of technology strategy to business strategy
• Accountable - Management and measurement of strategic outcomes
• Accountable - Align Treasury Analytics Hive activities towards Technology Strategy/ Scorecard
• Accountable – Form and drive AI strategy for Treasury Technology
Business
• Accountable – Delivery of strategic technology systems and services to enable Treasury’s analytics outcomes
• Responsible – Drive effectiveness and efficiencies of Treasury Analytics Hive to achieve business outcomes
• Informed – Awareness of the impact of Treasury Analytics processes to the bank’s business
• Accountable – Ensures timely and stable running of systems owned by the hive
Processes
• Accountable – Implement systems operations processes leveraging the disciplines of SRE (Systems Reliability Engineering)
• Accountable – once Treasury Analytics services are implemented, transition domain over to ongoing Incremental Change (IC) model under Build & Maintain (B&M)

• Accountable – Overall people leadership responsibility for technology teams with diverse skill sets, including budgeting, interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing more T-shaped/ M-shaped colleagues.

Risk Management
• Responsible - Management of third party risks related to usage of vendors and associated technologies
• Accountable – Manages all information and cyber security risks owned by the hive
• Accountable – Understands and manages capacity and resiliency of systems

• Accountable – Adherence of all hive releases to prevailing System Delivery Framework
• Accountable – Ensure the Treasury Analytics domain adheres to all tech governance standards across ICS, risk, audit, resilience, service level dimensions

Our Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of experience in technology leadership with a leading commercial bank, preferably with international exposure
- Experience of leading a mid-sized technology domain (~50 people)
- Ability to define a tech domain strategy and drive subsequent execution
- Can straddle the business and technology domains with an ability to translate between the two
- Successfully able to navigate challenges requiring collaboration and stakeholder management
- Work with all levels of management and staff, successfully manage and engage multiple stakeholders, negotiate effectively in situations involving conflicting interests and positively influence key decision makers on critical issues. Proven people leader with experience managing other team leaders / senior individuals.
- Liaise and coordinate on an ongoing with various parts of the Bank, including senior business and risk stakeholders
Role Specific Technical Competencies
- Big data, analytics, management information, business intelligence, data scienc
- Experience in appropriate analytics technologies such as Hadoop, spark/scala, python/pyspark, tableau, mst
- Experience in SAP analytics technologies a big bonus : datasphere, SAC, han
- Experience in Treasury, balance sheet management, risk management, or related banking business domain a big bonus
