Job Summary
We are hiring within the Financial Institutions, Credit Portfolio Analytics (FI-CPA) team. You will partner closely with the team’s two key stakeholder groups i.e. Client Coverage and Risk in delivering credit and product solutions. This is an important role which will partner with stakeholders in managing the firm's relationships with a broad range of financial institution clients including banks, broker-dealers, fintechs, government/government-linked entities, public sector entities, insurance companies, hedge funds, real money funds, financial sponsors/private equity firms etc. This is a Cluster lead position, and you will play an active role in team structure and capacity planning, proactive workflow management, as well as meeting mentoring and training needs of the team. This is a high-impact role requiring strong, independent stakeholder engagement, sound credit judgment, and the ability to lead and scale team performance. Your daily job would include the following (not exhaustive):
• Partner with Relationship Managers to pursue client strategies, including through proactive idea generation, while supporting sustainable revenue growth and returns, as appropriate
• Partner with Risk through clear presentation of credit proposals, as well as through proactive discussion of key risk considerations
• Deliver high-quality, timely, and succinct credit analysis, including the ability to handle complex credits and represent the function at a senior level
• Proactively monitor key entity- and industry-level developments, including covenants and risk triggers; maintain portfolio quality through exception reporting and credit reviews, ensuring timely risk mitigation and issue resolution
• Support deal origination and execution by working closely with other deal team members to ensure appropriate product selection and deal structuring, considering the overall risk appetite, client profile, and return considerations
• Liaise with and coordinate across product partners, including at parent and client subsidiary levels, to support account management and origination
• Drive portfolio-level oversight to optimize returns and provide guidance to the team
• Contribute to process improvement and simplification initiatives
• Support the Team Lead in providing oversight of relevant team members, including maximizing potential, achieving performance objectives, and providing mentoring and guidance, as well as resolving bottlenecks and supporting team development
• Support the Team Lead and wider team on regulatory reporting, ad hoc projects, strategic initiatives and exercises, as required
• Candidates with prior and relevant Financial Institutions and Corporate experience will be viewed favourably
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Partner with Relationship Managers to pursue strategies of the Financial Institutions Singapore portfolio of clients effectively.
Business
• Drive client revenues & meeting revenue-return targets for the Business
Processes
• Plays a key role in managing the end-to-end credit application process for Financial Institutions Singapore for existing clients as well as new-to-bank clients.
People and Talent
• Contribute to the upskilling agenda by training and providing mentorship to the junior team members including interns and International Graduates.
Risk Management
• Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating potential credit / business risks to the Financial Institutions Singapore franchise while driving revenues in collaboration with the relationship managers and various product partners.
Governance
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory & credit process / policies framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Education: Degree In Accounting or Finance & Banking
• Languages: Business Communication
• 12 years of experience in credit risk and portfolio management, with deep expertise in financial institutions analysis (banks, NBFIs, insurers, funds, fintechs etc.).
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to lead, mentor and scale team performance
• Strategic mindset – able to translate portfolio, client and regulatory trends into actionable priorities
• Sound decision-making with strong risk judgment and accountability
• Credit Risk and Portfolio Management - strong grounding in risk assessment, portfolio construction and monitoring
• Financial Statement Analysis - ability to interpret complex financials across banks, NBFIs and FI clients
• Solution / Deal Structuring - ability to structure facilities with appropriate risk mitigants and commercial alignment
• Strong analytical thinking - ability to synthesise information, challenge assumptions and form independent views
• Industry/ Business Knowledge - understanding of FI sectors, market dynamics and regulatory landscape
• Account Management - ability to manage client relationships alongside RMs and drive portfolio outcomes
• Customer focus – understanding client needs and translating into appropriate product and risk solutions
• Good working knowledge of banking products and processes (e.g. lending, trade, markets, treasury solutions)
