JOB SUMMARY
This role is the Risk Data Lead for Project IRIS, a strategic multi-year Regulatory Reporting program at the bank. The position involves leading the design, development, and implementation of Risk data deliverables and overseeing end-to-end project delivery. It is a techno-functional role requiring strong data analytics experience, Credit Risk knowledge, and stakeholder management skills, with the goal of consolidating data sources across Risk & Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Define and implement the strategy for data sourcing, transformation, and adjustment for financial risk reporting across CIB, WRB, and Traded risk.
• Support the bank and function’s AI strategy by integrating advanced analytics and machine learning techniques into risk data processes.
Business
• Develop Management Information (MI) and analytics functionalities based on business requirements and Business Intelligence (BI) strategy.
• Drive the consolidation of data sources across Risk & Finance to ensure a unified and accurate data repository for regulatory reporting.
Processes
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Risk data deliverables under Project IRIS.
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery to ensure quality and timely execution.
• Engage in data quality improvement initiatives and the setup of Business-As-Usual (BAU) operating models.
People & Talent
• Lead a team of business analysts and data specialists to support project delivery.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Risk Management
• Ensure all risk data processes comply with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with data consolidation and reporting activities.
Governance
• Collaborate with bank-wide programs such as Mercury & GDP from an IRIS perspective to determine requirements for financial risk reporting.
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and policies related to data management and regulatory reporting.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Manage relationships with senior business stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Promote a culture of ethical business conduct and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Stakeholders
• Senior Business Stakeholders: Ensure their needs and expectations are met through effective communication and relationship management.
• Risk & Finance Teams: Collaborate to consolidate data sources and improve data quality.
• Bank-wide Programs (e.g., Mercury & GDP): Work together to determine requirements for financial risk reporting.
• Project IRIS Team: Lead and coordinate efforts to design, develop, and implement risk data deliverables.
• Regulatory Bodies: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Candidate with 8+ years of experience in Data science with extensive experience on Financial Data products, large exposure
- Hands on experience with Collateral allocation methodologies
- Experience in Python / SQL
- Coding experience will be an advantage.
This is direct contractor role for 12months.
