Job Summary
• Financial Markets Middle Office provides value added services to the global FM business across US, Europe and Asia.
Collectively we:

• We focus on Trade Capture STP improvement to mitigate fraud and operational risk and deliver scalable services back to the business.
• Connect: We are accountable and responsible for all T0 activities and act as a conduit between Front Office and the other enablement ad operation teams
• We act as a Global Team and communicate clearly and with respect in line with SCB values
Objectives specific to the position:
• Support the 24/7 Follow the Sun model proposition and ensure high level of collaboration with the Global Middle Office Leadership team and adoption of one-team mind set.
• Provide people, strategic and transformation leadership to min 8 direct reports across East Structured Credit & Structured Equity MO.
• Ensure alignment with the Global Middle Office strategic roadmap, the bank simplification and re-platforming agenda and growth strategy.
• Drive global consistency and transparency through the Global Middle Office by defining and enforcing a clear, well defined and
globally consistent catalogue or services, procedures and processes across the East Structured Credit & Structured Equity MO global footprint.
• Monitor, set, and achieve established department goals during day-to-day operations as well as serve as point of escalation for
complex issues and manage resolution of issues and new business request.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• New business enablement and solutions, partner to deliver strategic FM initiatives:
• Drive Operational readiness for new business areas within East Structured Credit & Structured Equity.
• Lead the booking model design for new products within East Structured Credit & Structured Equity MO.
• Work with Global Structured Credit & Loans MO lead in strategic planning process with business units and prioritize businessdevelopment requirements to completion.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and
safeguarding Standard Chartered, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering
to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Well Managed Business and Cost Optimization
• Ensure alignment with broader GTO objectives around cost optimization through:
• Intelligent use of location strategy (leveraging on the GTO MO Centre of Excellence in India, Malaysia & Poland)
• Definition of Change levers to enable strategic cost transformation (Automation, replatforming, outsourcing etc)
Business
• Face of Operations to local Desk Heads – single point of contact:
• Insulate FM from post execution processing / queries, represent Operations functions
• Build team profile with the Front Office
Processes
• Operations representation for external/internal and regulator scheduled audits:
• Ensure Audit points are addressed within timelines
• Drive continuous improvement and innovate:
• Partner with Technology to deliver transformation
• Work with FO to identify booking model improvements and drive efficiency
• Own the Risk Capture STP% metrics for East Structured Credit & Structured Equity business and define a road map for improvements

• Performance Review: hold 1-2-1 meetings and promote a speak up culture within the team.

Risk Management
• Achieve regulatory compliance and future proof the Global Middle Office model through a strong understanding of current rules and anticipation of upcoming regulations

• Adherence to Ops Risk Framework standards of implementation and process management:
• Continuous review of procedures and booking model
• Continuous management of process taxonomy and service catalogue
• Lead and support yearly completion of RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment)

Our Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years experience in Credit Derivatives and / or Equity Derivatives products including characteristics, risk, market data and P&L.
- Proven track record of managing high performing global teams and client delivery
- Deep understanding of Financial Markets business and front to back Operational processes
- Industry connectivity and awareness of latest industry developments, including Regulatory direction.
