Manage and deliver product objectives within the Funds & Fiduciary Services business across the global footprint with focus on further developing and growing Transfer Agency services. This should be in alignment with global objectives for the product line including financial and non-financial performance, enhancement of capabilities, product and client access future strategies, and oversight of risk and governance in alignment with the Global Product Head for Funds & Fiduciary Services. 

 

Responsibilities

Strategy

Product Management and Development

  • Directly responsible for executing product initiatives on the annual plan for the product in conjunction with other Product team members, technology and operations teams with focus on Transfer Agency offering.
  • Directly responsible for understanding market and customer needs and develop the client value proposition that will address them.  
  • Drive launches of new products and product enhancements. Work jointly with Sales and Marketing to develop collateral for products / markets, communicate product launches, organize customer events and develop a sales campaign strategy to ensure that the new products meet planned volume and revenue targets
  • Identify opportunities for the business and develop new product / programmes. Responsible for ownership of Transfer Agency and related Fund Services product offering. 
  • Regularly evaluate alternate products/ processes that will ensure that our product offering is in line with or better than the market. 
  • Ensure an open and continuous dialogue with regional product teams to align various market needs with the product offering.
  • Identify new niche markets/ segments to achieve further volume/ revenue growth.
  • Regularly benchmark our product with competition and work towards plugging major gaps.
  • Embrace and practice the values of the bank on all occasions and demonstrate one bank behaviour
  • Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations to embed Compliance Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process
  • Ensure that the business meets all its obligations vis-à-vis the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards & under Local laws and Regulations. Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls which are regularly reviewed to ensure that they reflect any changes in product, systems, policy and regulations.

Commercialisation

  • Responsible for commercialization of new product capabilities by ensuring commercialization plans, targets and infrastructure to maximize success for it launch
  • Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and implement structures and solutions to meet these needs. Work closely with sales team to target new clients for Fund Services especially Transfer Agency related requirements.  
  • Provide ongoing support and training to sales, operations, technology, risk / compliance / legal teams and other internal stakeholders to facilitate the closure of large or complex deals.
  • Maintain high level client interaction.  At least 25% of time should be spent on client-related activities focused on strategic topics that help understand client needs and ensure an appropriate set of solutions delivered.
  • Assist in the drafting / structuring / solutioning of clients requirements as well as RFP responses where such response is relevant to the product set as well as our officering to new segments and markets.       

Market Advocacy
•    The role requires active co-ordination with all internal stakeholders which includes Legal and compliance, Operations, Sales, relationship, implementation and externally with Market Regulators and Infrastructures, associations.
•    Actively engaged with regulators, consultants, advisors, vendors and market intermediaries to seek clarification, operating guidelines and FAQ

Business
Financial Performance and profitability 
•    Supports the product P&L with specific focus on Transfer Agency. Have clear responsibility over pricing for products.
•    Responsible for driving investment business cases and the business operating model for the product line
•    Develop jointly with the Sales team a strategy to meet revenue objectives, in line with the overall FSS strategy
•    Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to capture the opportunities, mitigate the threats and deliver financial performance. Recommend and plan actions to build or reinforce our competitive edge
•    Drive end to end product performance, improving efficiency through the e-agenda, straight through processing, ensuring scalability to grow

Processes
•    Ensure all processes across Financing and Securities Services are followed in line with approved policies and procedures. 
•    Act as the main conduit for championing to Central Product for the product line and Client Access all investment cases for product development or enhancements and for local regulatory requirements. 
•    Maintaining/drafting Country Addenda/Risk Deviation documents for security services in line with Group and local policies of the Bank as well as Market Regulators.

Risk Management
•    Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to FSS Fund Services products with particular focus on Transfer Agency.
•    Ensure country compliance on Group standard for Audit, Control and financial reporting. 
•    Work closely with operations to improve overall service standards, platform and solution customizations and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior to competition 
•    Ensure timely renewal of country addendums (CAs) to PPGs and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks. Actively participate in NPC roll out and execution across markets.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in the financial services sector with strong understanding of Fund Services products and operations with focus on Transfer Agency. Practitioner in the fund services industry with in-depth experience in Asset Management / Fund Services of 10+ years.  
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the securities and funds markets especially for Asia and Africa/Middle East markets with focus on Asset Managers. 
  • Background and experience of digital market and products including tokenisation solution will be an advantage. 
  • Deep local market knowledge & client buying behaviours
  • Experience in executing product strategies and developing solutions
  • Market profile and credibility with clients 
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) and presenter
