Title: Engagement, Events and Development Programme Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a passionate and driven Singapore-based graduate to join our Engagement, Development & Innovation team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of people, employee engagement, events, and learning & development within the bank.
As a core member of the team, you will take ownership of developing and running strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement, promoting growth and development, and fostering a sense of alignment and belonging within the organization. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to cross-functional teams, contributing to programs that align with the bank’s strategic goals.
You will also work closely with the Engagement, Development, and Innovation Lead to support people-focused initiatives, including employee engagement campaigns, cultural, volunteering and wellness events as well as learning and development (L&D) programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Support Engagement Initiatives:
• Assist in the development and implementation of engagement strategies.
• Help conduct engagement surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with teams to support initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture
Business
Event Coordination and Support:
• Assist in planning and organizing cultural celebrations, volunteering and wellness events, learning and development sessions such as Drop Everything and Learn (DEAL).
• Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and participant communications.
• Track and manage external speaker engagements, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
Assist in Development Programs:
• Support the design and administration of development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and competencies.
• Help implement leadership development initiatives.
• Monitor the effectiveness of development programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Communications and Stakeholder Coordination:
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to support engagement, development initiatives.
• Assist in creating and distributing communications related to events, programs, and initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across different departments.
Processes
Performance Measurement:
• Assist in establishing metrics and KPIs to measure the success of engagement and development programmes.
• Help prepare regular reports on the progress and impact of initiatives.
• Use data-driven insights to support the continuous improvement of programs and strategies.
• Maintain clear documentation and reporting templates for all program activities and events.
• Support the end-to-end planning and execution of people engagement and L&D events, ensuring smooth logistics and coordination.
• Manage internal collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, MS Teams, Zoom, Pulse, Qualtrics etc)
People & Talent
• Assist the Engagement, Development & Innovation Lead in managing internal engagement and learning initiatives.
• Organize and run people-related events (e.g., townhalls, offsites/ onsites).
• Promote inclusive participation in engagement activities across diverse employee groups.
Risk Management
• Maintain transparency and auditability through accurate record-keeping of event outcomes and budget usage.
• Participate in internal reviews and post-event evaluations to assess compliance, impact, and improvement areas.
Governance
• Ensure engagement activities comply with internal governance frameworks and policies.
• Assist in documenting risk and control considerations for program-related activities, including approvals, data handling, and vendor coordination.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
• Education - Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 plus years of strong organizational and project management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas.
• Basic understanding of employee engagement and development concepts.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Event planning and coordination skills
• Prior experience in employee engagement, events and communications activities are good to have
