Title: Executive Director - CLM Product Strategist/Owner

JOB SUMMARY
• Own and manage the CLM product work stream for all legal, credit and contract management interfaces and hand-offs for CIB, including product roadmap and associated backlogs
• Provide oversight and regular strategic updates, including delivery, risk, budget and resource management, to senior management for the work stream
• Face off 2LOD, 3LOD internally, regulators and auditors externally on all work stream related matters
• Collaborate with senior legal and CFCC management, and DDCP Data Product Commercialization MT to deliver solutions that create data/information transparency and eliminate unnecessary client outreach for duplicate information; enable an unified data entry point for legal, credit and contract management that streamlines the process and reduces the number of required hand-offs
• Build the strategic narratives and engage with DDCP MT, business, product and functional stakeholders through clearly articulated work stream end state, business requirements, resource allocations and delivery timeline
• Develop and distribute tailored reports to different stakeholder groups, ensuring they receive relevant information based on their interests and influence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business
• Create the narratives for the work stream through a deep understanding of the needs and expectations from the DDCP Data Product Commercialization MT and senior CIB business, product and function stakeholders
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Group CLM Policy and Procedures to ensure they are considered and factored in the product/process design wherever possible
• Drive the work steam delivery through a clearly established Project Charter, Work Breakdown Structure, Critical Paths, Budget and Resource Allocations as well as Governance (OpCo/SteerCo)
• Accountable for the on-time and on-budget delivery of the work stream, and the associated scorecard KPIs
• Develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap with (C)POs, squads and stakeholders
• Establish a process to proactively manage and track issues and backlogs, creating transparency and facilitating timely issue escalation and resolutions
• Collaborate with senior DDCP management and relevant business/product/function stakeholders to develop tactical and strategic solutions
• Ensure transparency in financial management and highlight any potential budget overruns or savings
People & Talent
• Lead and manage a team based in multiple jurisdictions
• Where appropriate and required, build capable bench with the required skill sets
Risk Management
• Identify, assess, and manage work stream risks and issues, including but not limited to
o Maintain a risk register that documents identified risks, their potential impact, likelihood, and mitigation strategies.
o Report on the status of existing risks and newly identified risks in each status report.
o Maintain an issue log that tracks all project issues, their resolution status, and any escalations required
o Develop and implement risk and issue mitigation plans
Governance
• Ensure compliance and adherence with the governance framework and the requirements of various business and operation forums
• Provide concise executive summaries to senior management at various forums, highlighting critical project information, major achievements, risks and decision points
• Provide regular status updates, e.g. weekly or bi-weekly status reports detailing the RAG status of the delivery (e.g. progress, key milestones achieved, upcoming activities,) any deviations on budget expenditure, resource utilization, and schedule adherence
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project health, such as schedule variance, cost variance, scope creeps, and quality metrics
• Document and report all change requests, including the nature of the change, impact analysis, approval status, and implementation progress, and ensure that change logs are maintained and communicated to relevant stakeholders
• Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit findings
• Conduct and report on lessons learned sessions to capture insights from project execution
• Prepare post-project review reports that document project outcomes, successes, challenges, and recommendations for future projects
Regulatory & Business Conduct

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. • Lead the Digital Platforms team in assigned countries to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles

Our Ideal Candidate:
• 10+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
• Strong working knowledge of legal contract terms such as ISDA and CSA, ideally having prior working experience with legal teams on contract drafting/client negotiations
• Strong and demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder interactions and presentations across multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong business acumen and ability to elevate the discussions beyond technical specifics to craft a clear and compelling business narrative
• Experience/exposure of multi-jurisdictional project oversight and deliveries
• Ability to effectively communicate business priorities, complex concepts and models and business information to a technical and non-technical audience
• Demonstrates creative thinking by generating new ideas and concepts and identifying new ways of doing things.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to facilitate workshops, discussions and meetings with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrate leadership and drive change within the organization by building consensus, obtaining stakeholder support and motivating others
• Ability to form strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and team members
• Demonstrate the courage to call out the undesirable behaviours in order to drive the team’s performance onward and upward
• Outstanding presentation skills and highly effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Mandarin would be a plus given the required frequent engagement with core teams based in China
• MBA an advantage
• Prior consulting experience in a reputable strategy firm would be a plus
• Experience in multi-geographical locations would be a plus
• Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
