JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Global Markets Operations Business Performance Management is a senior leadership role responsible for driving performance discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement across Global Markets Operations. The role owns the business performance management framework, including financial management, capacity and productivity analytics, service delivery metrics, and strategic performance reporting.

This role enables Operations leadership to make data-driven decisions, optimize cost and capacity, improve service outcomes, and align operational performance with Global Markets strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Business
•    Design, implement, and own the Global Markets Operations performance management framework.
•    Establish consistent KPIs, metrics, and scorecards across trading, post-trade, clearing, collateral, client, and regulatory operations.
•    Ensure alignment between operational performance metrics, business strategy, and risk appetite.

 

Processes
•    Oversee operations financial management, including budgets, forecasts, cost allocations, and expense transparency.
•    Partner with Finance to manage headcount, run-rate, productivity, and cost efficiency initiatives.
•    Provide clear insights into cost drivers, unit costs, and return on investment for operational initiatives.
•    Lead capacity planning, demand forecasting, and workforce optimization across regions and functions.
•    Develop productivity and throughput metrics to improve utilization and scalability.
•    Support location strategy, sourcing decisions, and operating model optimization.
•    Define and monitor service delivery metrics, SLAs, and quality indicators across Operations.
•    Identify performance gaps impacting client experience, revenue enablement, or risk outcomes.
•    Partner with Operations leadership to drive remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Deliver high-quality management information, dashboards, and executive reporting for senior leadership.

•    Provide actionable insights, trend analysis, and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making.
•    Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across performance reports.
•    Support Operations transformation initiatives by defining performance baselines and success measures.
•    Track benefits realization for automation, digitization, and process re-engineering initiatives.
•    Drive a culture of continuous improvement and performance accountability.

 

People & Talent
•    Lead, develop, and retain a global regulatory operations organization.
•    Build a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline.
•    Foster a culture of accountability, control ownership, and regulatory excellence.
•    Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion.

 

Risk Management
•    Establish governance forums to review performance, cost, and capacity outcomes.
•    Partner with Operations, Finance, Technology, HR, and Risk to align performance objectives.
•    Represent Operations Business Performance Management in senior leadership and strategy forums.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Education - Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline required.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in Global markets operations
