JOB SUMMARY
You support the CABM Cluster Heads (SG & ASEAN and South Asia) in both the Governance and Planning responsibilities. You need to ensure the team is cognizant of CABM risks areas pursuant to the Process Universe and functions efficiently, keeping to timely submissions, regulatory and risk management in good conduct as required. For Planning responsibilities, you will support the CABM Cluster Heads in achieving objectives which includes the development and execution of the strategic agenda and driving key initiatives whilst balancing, financial performance, quarterly updates & re-prioritisation, people & talent, scorecard metrics tracking and reporting. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role is the go-to lead on all governance, ops-risk (CABM) matters, and therefore need to ensure compliance across the two clusters.
  • This role includes ensuring the teams across the two clusters are aware and understand their role in ensuring compliance to CABM risks areas (including Process Universe, Supply Chain Management etc) – from timely submissions to ensuring regulatory and risk management in good conduct as required.
  • This role also support the Cluster Heads in performance management, impact planning and reporting – working with the teams to ensure objectives / KPIs are met – including scorecards tracking and reporting, the development and execution of the strategic agenda (CABM strategy, people & talent) and budgeting / forecast.
  • Awareness and understanding of the CABM function strategy and scorecard and how it applies in cluster and in country.
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business and how CABM support their objectives.
  • Responsible for executing and supervising the Budget process and conformance to Operational Risk Framework.

  • Support in onboarding and build appropriate cultures and values, including identifying conduct gaps, proposing long term solutions and mitigatory actions.
  • Identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the CABM function, as well as an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the function and the role the individual plays in managing them. Responsible person for CST for small markets without maker-checker role. Lead the clusters in annual RCSA exercise. 
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the cluster to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the cluster function and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Skills and Experienc

 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 8+ years of experience in brand & Marketing governance, ops-risk (CABM) matters

  • Good understanding and experience in analysing qualitative and quantitative Marketing research, distilling in-depth research reports
  • Support in onboarding and build appropriate cultures and values, including identifying conduct gaps, proposing long term solutions and mitigatory actions.
  • Awareness and understanding of the CABM function strategy and scorecard and how it applies in cluster and in country.
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the cluster to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the cluster function and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

  • Performance management – building scorecards and metric / KPI measurement and reporting

  • Accounting – able to provide financial forecast and analysis, and translate data/numbers into insights
