Title: Head - Diversity & Inclusion, TTO

Job Summary
- The Head – Diversity & Inclusion, TTO role is a strategic role that brings the Group’s D&I strategy, TTO’s Strategy 25 and TTO’s People Priorities together to strategize, engage, deliver, and drive results in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in TTO.
- The role is expected to extensively partner & collaborate with senior stakeholders in TTO and the Group, including TTO MT members and their direct reports; Employee Resource Groups in TTO / their representatives; TTO HR team and the Group D&I team to ensure alignment and delivery of TTO D&I long / short-term needs.
- Responsibilities also include partnering with the Global Head of Enterprise Technology and Global Head of End User Services to enable / accelerate Digital Inclusion for the Bank including Assistive Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Set D&I plan for TTO aligned with Group’s D&I strategy, TTO’s Strategy 25 & TTO’s People Priorities to meet agreed outcomes and key performance indicators (incl gender diversity, talent group diversity, TTO’s inclusion index etc).
- Provide thought leadership / best practices from market-leading Tech / Operations / Transformation organisations on best practices in D&I that can be experimented / implemented in TTO
- Drive an outcome-led approach and execution to create positive lasting change in TTO around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Partner and consult to TTO D&I Council and Council Co-chairs to facilitate change in this space
Business
- Develop Digital Inclusion strategy for the Bank (including Accessible and Assistive Technology) and embed supplier D&I approach into TTO vendor management process
- Benchmarking external D&I best practice to identify new areas for advancing TTO D&I within the Bank
- Partner with key stakeholders to embed D&I into key TTO processes to ensure sustainable delivery, culture change and progress
- Partner with HR to design and deliver TTO-specific D&I programmes
- Ensure alignment with country / regional TTO teams so that TTO-wide programmes to maximise impact and avoid duplication
- Provide TTO related diversity input on competitive tenders and partner with clients to reach theirs and our diversity objectives
Processes
- Project manage and lead the development and implementation of key TTO D&I projects and programmes within our key target areas
- Ensure that TTO D&I activities aligns with TTO business objectives and drives team performance and risk management at all levels from MT down to business unit level
- Build TTO D&I capability, design and implement training as required
- Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholder groups to support on implementing the TTO D&I and wellbeing strategies including providing advice, encouraging engagement, producing key message documents, speaker notes, presentations, and providing regular progress updates (via a range of channels).
- Provide strategic inputs for presentations and updates for TTO MT, HoHR TTO, TTO D&I Council and other key stakeholders as appropriate. Draft such presentations and updates, as needed.
- Monitor, analyse, report on progress to achieve TTO D&I targets and build internal & external awareness of performance and progress as well as make recommendations that maximise impact.
- Represent TTO where appropriate on external forums and working groups, following the Group’s approval process
People & Talent
- Lead the team to deliver specific projects and deliverables as determined by TTO DE&I priorities
- Lead by example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from team and work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including risk and control partners.
- Develop and embed a high-performance culture in team with specific focus on capability, effectiveness, and productivity
- Develop talent to ensure a high-quality succession pipeline at all levels and sponsor ongoing development activities that focus on the identified high performing and high potential individuals within the businesses
Risk Management
- Support the effective implementation of Risk Management framework within the role remit
- Ensure effective processes are in place to identify, manage, monitor, and report risks
- Awareness and understanding of the main risks facing TTO (from a D&I perspective) and the role the individual plays in managing them
Governance
- Responsible to ensure TTO initiatives are not in breach of any local / regional / global restrictions / regulations
- Support the TTO D&I agenda in key forums such as the TTO operating forum and TTO Quarterly Conduct forum
Regulatory & Business Conduct
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Education / Experience - Degree in Human Resources preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in strategic D&I roles in a professional services / banking / consulting environment
- Training - Training in DE&I preferred
- Certifications - Certification in DE&I or relevant experience preferred
