JOB SUMMARY
The Head of FP&A will be a critical member of the SCV Finance team, responsible for building and overseeing the entire financial planning and analysis function for our high-growth business. This entity is tasked with launching, scaling, and potentially spinning out new, innovative businesses in the financial services and technology space.

The successful candidate will blend the strategic rigor and governance of SCB with the agility and 'builder' mindset of a high-growth venture builder. This role requires exceptional financial modelling skills, deep commercial acumen, and the ability to act as a true strategic partner to the SCV and Group leadership, investee entities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Financial Planning & Modelling
•    Establish and lead the end-to-end financial planning processes for the entity, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range strategic financial planning for the entire portfolio.
•    Design and own sophisticated, driver-based financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for the business, reflecting key business metrics, unit economics, and different growth stages (seed, scale-up, maturity).
•    Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the financial impact of strategic decisions, resource allocation, and potential go-to-market changes for new ventures.

2. Performance Management & Reporting
•    Develop and implement a robust Portfolio Performance Management framework, defining and tracking key financial and operational metrics/KPIs (e.g., Customer Acquisition Cost, Lifetime Value, Burn Rate, Runway).
•    Lead the preparation of high-quality executive-level presentations for the SCV Leadership and Group stakeholders, providing actionable insights into financial health, variance analysis, and future projections.
•    Ensure timely and accurate reporting that aligns with both the Bank's Group reporting standards and the fast-paced, investor-centric needs of the venture world.

3. Strategic Decision Support & Stakeholder Management
•    Act as a trusted financial advisor to the venture CEOs/Founders, guiding them on commercial strategy, capital expenditure, pricing decisions, and operational efficiency improvements.
•    Lead the financial components for funding and capital allocation decisions, including supporting internal pitches, due diligence, and valuation exercises for new and scaling ventures.
•    Collaborate closely with Group Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure all financial processes adhere to the required regulatory and governance standards of the multinational bank.

4. Leadership & Infrastructure
•    Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, instilling a culture of data-driven decision-making, rigor, and commercial partnership.
•    Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of FP&A systems and tools to revolutionise our function and improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting and analysis for the portfolio.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    At least 10 years relevant experience in finance at a leading global financial services firm, preferably banking. 
•    Qualified Accountant i.e., CPA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent, or MBA (Finance) or other relevant qualification is preferred
•    Track record of business partnering and ability to influence and effectively challenge stakeholders
•    Proven problem solver using quantitative techniques, strong analytical skills with ability to develop proof of concept frameworks and business cases
•    Significant experience in either a Venture Capital/Growth Equity firm, a startup environment (Series B+), or in a corporate venture/incubation unit of a large financial institution/FinTech is highly preferred.
•    Proven experience operating within a large, regulated corporate environment (e.g., a major bank) is a strong asset.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively manage varied stakeholders and global teams within finance and business.
