JOB SUMMARY

  • Drive Client focussed Risk and Governance management for the S&T Verticals of FFG and Group Transformation that results in valuable outcomes to drive  the delivery of Group and S&T strategy. 
  • Deliver simplification, automation, and efficiency from a Risk perspective through collaboration and challenge to influence a Client Focus, Risk aware culture securing benefits realisation of investment spend. 
  • Achieve an effective risk culture, including strong horizon scanning, by actively partnering across the Group with First, Second and Third-Line Functions and the Businesses.
  • Ensure all risks and issues are effectively identified, prioritised, assessed, mitigated (to within Risk appetite) and monitored in a timely manner whilst maintaining full transparency to relevant stakeholders or Committees.
  • Ensure compliance to ERMF, including risk assessments (inherent and residual) and the adoption of all Policies and Standards but challenging ERMF where it does not drive the strategic outcomes for the Group

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Responsible for delivery of the Risk roadmap which are aligned to the standards / requirements set by Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the setting of appropriate metrics and standards for risk. 
•    Design and implement changes to FFG and Group Transformation risk profile in line with Group’s strategy whilst align Risk profile across  Group initiatives. 
•    Partner on all S&T change programs and provide inputs to initiatives to drive client focused outcomes in Risk management and Governance. 
•    Partner with relevant partners across the Group to truly embed great change risk management and culture across the Group and S&T. 
•    Establish processes for Risk assessment and control testing (working with the Control Effectiveness Team) in line with the Bank’s ERMF at global and country but challenging where outcomes are not aligned to client focused risk aware management.  

  • Drive the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and underlying Risk Type Frameworks (RTFs) are effectively embedded.
  • Ensure the risk profile remains within the Group’s Risk Appetite
  • Lead the implementation of all RTFs across FFG and Change Transformation, ensuring they are effectively embedded across all clusters and markets by: 
  • Monitoring and challenging RTF implementation progress / effectiveness, driving improvements.
  • Ensuring that risks are assessed, and control cost / benefit decisions are made transparently in accordance with the Group’s Policies, Standards and Group Risk Appetite. 
  • Partner with Control Effectiveness team to influence the design of effective controls and the systematic monitoring of control effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Embed an effective and exemplary risk culture (aligned to Group risk appetite), with appropriate escalation. 
  • Build strong engagement between Second Line teams and first line to ensure effective management, monitoring and reporting of risks.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to all team members to ensure they are highly engaged and performing to full potential in an environment where learning, challenging and experimenting are a key success criteria.
  • Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where commercial, ethical, legal, regulatory compliant conduct is the norm and aligned to creative thinking that delivers real impact.
