JOB SUMMARY

•    The primary objective of Credit Structure & Digitised Assessment Hive is build and maintain product supporting Credit Facility, Collateral Service, Credit Profile , Credit Allied Risks within Credit Structure & Digitised Assessment lifecycle. 
•    The hive is mandated to transform existing legacy application – CreditMate to new generation of cutting-edge applications with clear expectation to decommission creditmate. This hive is responsible to deliver 33 out of 85 modules to be rollout to 42 countries by 2026 across CTA, FFG, Reg & Risk, SME Credit Transformation and Incremental Change.
•    Credit Mate is an in-house product to manage the credit life cycle which facilitates clients’ credit worthiness and limit approval process. This application is part of the domain strategy to uplift as part of SIRF CTA initiative.
•    CreditMate is used by more than 10,000 users across CIB, COO, Risk, Finance and other regulatory functions.

Problem solving, complexity and influence
•    In terms of stakeholder management – that include Head of Business in CIB, COO, Risk, Finance and Head of Change 
•    Strong understanding of user journeys, credit lifecycle to manage standardisation of requirements across countries, geographies and business segments.
•    CreditMate is a 20 year-old platform and there’s significant cyber obsolescence  and speed to execution if key to manage the cyber and obsolescence risk

Knowledge and Expertise
•    Experience running large programmes in SCB
•    Proven ability to operate in matrix environments, regional / global roles
•    Strong business acumen – knowledge of credit lifecycle
•    Excellent communicator and stakeholder management – an wide array of senior stakeholders must ‘want’ to cooperate as they will not be forced to cooperate
•    Extensive knowledge of credit life cycle, client on-boarding, sustainable finance and client relationship management 
•    Expert in business requirements analysis and process re-modelling using business process modelling tools 
•    Experience in product development using latest technology stack i.e. Lit Framework, Quarkus etc. 

Accountability, scope & impact, leadership
•    Leadership to team of 100 headcount (EW and NEW)
•    Managing business requirements with key business stakeholders and influencing prioritization calls
•    HTL is expected to use appropriate judgement to plan and develop the delivery strategy of CreditMate solutions across 42 countries, while fending off demand that deviates from key scope.
•    Complex leadership role having juggle between organizational restructuring, vendor rationalization and multiple upstreams/ downstreams.
•    Multiple working groups with representatives from CIB, CIB, COO, Risk, Finance and other regulatory functions

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
•    Take Ownership and drive the Product delivery of your owned product, manage Risk, Issues, Dependencies and Assumptions with internal and external partners
•    Creating awareness and transparency with Data of your team’s progress in delivery, improvements in behaviour, approaches and technical solutions and impediments.
•    Ensure a Product Vision has been articulated and documented that the team understands
•    Be responsible for ensuring a Product Roadmap with appropriate BackLog has been defined and is fully understood by the team. Ensure this is aligned to Product Vision calling out any deviance
•    Ensure a Target state architecture is defined for the Product and that each delivery takes the product towards that target state

Business

•    Drive value proposition prioritization at Hive level
•    Be the Change – be an Change champion with all levels of the organisation on improving Product and the way the Hive deliver the Product
•    Managing relationships with Product Owners and related stakeholders
•    Manage procurement process

Processes
As the Hive Technical Lead the successful candidate will be responsible for the following
•    Ensuring the adherence to Defined Software Delivery Framework Standard
•    Clearly communicate across the organisation on technology matters as well as specific innovations and achievements
•    Model the behaviours required in agile delivery and a learn fast organisation
•    Establish a broad reach through knowledge sharing and technology forums.
•    Ensure all cyber standards are met and that all designs are proven secure
•    Ownership of financial management for the Hive
•    Domain areas knowledge with good understanding of the Commercial Banking coupled with working knowledge of Credit Structure & Digitised Assessment and Monitoring.

People & Talent
•    Provide overall technical leadership and direction to the organisation and the technology team, encouraging innovation and improvement in the technology and data systems, processes and ways of working.
•    Drive change in the organisation in embedding Agile and Lean techniques that works across the whole organisation.
•    Create and maintain an atmosphere of safety, collaboration, trust through facilitation of retrospectives and fostering an honest feedback culture among members
•    Contribute to the leadership of SCB-Client Coverage and CCIB by actively working with CIOs, Hive Leads and Chief Product Owners on strategy development, performance management, role-modelling and championing our values and behaviours both internally and externally.
•    Be responsible for governing the Technology Standards and fitment for Client Coverage
•    Provide overall technical direction for building/addressing the Obsolescence vision and the Roadmap for Client Coverage.
•    Represent Standard Chartered externally in your area of expertise as needed.

•    Ensure that a clear vision and delivery plan for our technology and digital services transformation is communicated to all staff, partners, programme teams and that ongoing delivery is transparent and well-communicated across the group and that all dependencies and risk are well managed
•    Ensure teams /squads are well-balanced and have (or to have access to) the correct technical skills to succeed
•    Develop, resource, maintain and deliver a backlog of development request to support funded projects, transformation, continuous improvement, and maintenance of our systems
•    Proactively removing impediments to productivity and progress toward continuous deployment
•    Ensure that key business owners and users are actively involved in the design, development and testing of solutions
•    Encourage innovation in the delivery of both technology and processes

Risk Management
•    Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of Agile practices, coaches and teach new techniques to the Squads as needed to achieve optimum productivity
•    Ensure all required artefacts are produced and maintained.

Governance
•    Coordinate Big Room Planning Exercises, Scrum of Scrum meeting and Sprint plan reviews 
•    Provide feedback into respective PgSC, QPR, MPR governance forums

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 12+ years experience working with Credit Structure and Credit Origination platforms
  • Responsible and accountable for building next generation credit origination platform for credit structure and digitized assessment capabilities – transforming  from existing monolithic platform to modular platform
  • Provide technology thought leadership to lead a team of 100+ (perm/agency)
  • Manage cross function / initiative dependencies and proactively manage risk and issues to bring execution certainty
  • Responsible for adhering and exceeding all the transformation metrics across  the delivery lifecycle.
  • Build a strong engineering culture and develop talent pipeline
