JOB SUMMARY

SC Ventures is looking for an Innovation Designer to join our Singapore team and be integral to our design process. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, pragmatist and strategist who loves to design and build new business models and understands how (and why) designing new products, services, and processes can drive strategic growth. 
We are specifically looking for people with in-depth experience in end-to-end product life cycles, business model design, market analysis, financial modelling, and product, process and service implementation. 
In your past life you may have been an intra- or entrepreneur, business strategy consultant or product manager with a strong focus on solving customer centric business problems. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
You will have a chance to collaborate with global internal stakeholders, ventures, clients and participate in the process of designing and building transformational and incremental innovations, including user and expert research, business and financial modelling, growth hacking, systems thinking and strategic foresight. 
You will take the lead in enabling teams to articulate new value propositions, forecast and simulate the impact of new offers, processes and business models, and help inspire and validate strategic direction of projects through data.

Business
•    Frame & define problem spaces by combining customer insight, market trends and business priorities to uncover high-venture opportunities. 
•    Translate research and strategic analysis into business model, value propositions and early hypothesis for product-market fit. 
•    Conduct competitor and ecosystem scans to identify whitespace opportunities and differentiation leavers. 
•    Design and test business model variations (pricing, partnerships, go-to-market, scaling levers) aligned to venture strategy. 
•    Build evidence-based cases for venture opportunities, including customer desirability, business viability and technical feasibility. 
•    Work side by side with our venture leads, SC Venture’s platform teams, and business stakeholders to move ideas through the venture funnel. 
•    Champion a test-and-learn culture, embedding agile and lean start up practices.
•    Act as a bridge between the strategic design layer and execution teams, ensuring coherence from concepts to validated product direction.

•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. •    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    A Bachelor or Masters degree in business or the like, with a minimum of 5 years consultancy or strategy experience. 
•    Rigorous acumen across many of the following areas: Human Centred Design, Product Ownership, Start-ups, Strategy, Agile, Financial Modelling, Research & Insights 
•    Operational experience and understanding on taking products and services to market and scaling, or implementing business enhancements, whether as an entrepreneur, intrapreneur, product owner or manager; 
•    Excellence in complex business model development, scenario planning and forecasting
•    Proven fluency in human centred design process, and ability to work in multidisciplinary design teams. 
•    Experience in Excel and/or other analysis tools, familiarity with prototyping methods, and ability to learn to use new tools in real time. 
•    Outstanding written and verbal communication, as well ability to make use of presentation tools and methods to tell effective stories to colleagues, clients and partners. 
•    Proven ability to work in fast paced environments with diverse teams. 
•    Financial Services experience is a plus.
