JOB SUMMARY
The role of an investment strategist within the Wealth Management – Chief Investment Office will involve (i) creation and maintenance of high quality views across a range of asset classes for the investment committee, (ii) help develop an investment framework for alternative strategies, including liquid and private assets, (iii) being a strong advocate of the CIO Office views to both internal stakeholders and external clients, (iv) maintenance of a high quality governance process and (v) help across the CIO team on multi-asset tasks as required. Author market commentary in support of these via written, verbal and digital communication channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Help the investment committee with the process of coming up with a view, including all supporting materials required
• Work with senior strategists to create a framework to analyse alternative asset classes
• Demonstrate quality of views via strong investment performance
Business
• Drive traction of CIO views across the full range of business stakeholders
Processes
• Ensure view formation process adheres to the CIO Office investment process
People & Talent
• Help mentor junior team members and help them grow
Risk Management
• Actively consider and manage risk of investment views taken
Governance
• Ensure all processes remain well documented and that documented processes are demonstrably adhered to
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
• Lead the Singapore Wealth Solutions – CIO Office to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles

• Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Certifications CFA preferred
