JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for leading, designing and executing the strategic implementation of the Client Value Propositions (CVPs) for the Private Bank globally. This includes elevating existing CVPs from the Affluent Segment for Private Banking, and curating dedicated CVPs by establishing a vendor partnership ecosystem that drives and sustains values for Private Banking clients throughout the client lifecycle. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy
•    Develop a client segment strategy and build out proposition pillars and corresponding programmes for the Private Bank to support client acquisition, deepen existing relationships and increase share of wallet. 

 

Business

•    Combine market insights, clients’ behaviours and needs to curate compelling partnerships that enable frontliners to acquire new clients and strengthen relationships with existing clients. 
•    Navigate regional business needs and customise relevant partnership programmes for the respective regions.

Processes
•    Support the end-to-end management of the CVP roll out plan, and that includes collaborating closely with global and regional business stakeholders and cross-functional teams for agreement and to support the go-to-market plan.  
•    Embed the holistic CVP engagement model across the entire client lifecycle, ensuring proposition programmes are seamlessly integrated with client interaction channels, digital platforms and relationship interfaces. 
•    Establish a tracking metrics. Monitor, analyse and report the performance of the Proposition programmes.

•    Possess leadership qualities, a team player who set high standards of delivery, collaborative, meticulous and able to foster positive working relationships across internal teams and external partners.

 

Risk Management

•    Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct, and applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines.
•    Identify and mitigate reputational and operational risks by ensuring compliance with brand standards, country regulations, and approval requirements.

 

Governance

•    Complete all mandatory training, including e-learning, within stated timeframes to ensure understanding of roles in delivering effective governance.
•    Adhere to established governance and approval frameworks, ensuring all outputs follow required processes.
•    Maintain clear documentation and version control of all deliverables and approvals.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. •    Internal: Global and Regional Private Bank Management and Frontline team, Global and Regional Private Bank Marketing and Communications teams, Group and Regional Risk, Compliance and Legal teams, Global and Regional Vendor Management team, Private Bank Group and Country Business Planning Management teams, Operations, Platform & Channels, Sales Management team, Products and Solutions team, Wealth Solutions team, Global and Country WRB Segments team, Global and Country Corporate Real Estate and Services team

•    External: Partners, vendors and agencies 

Other Responsibilities
•    May be required to perform other responsibilities and take on new projects as assigned.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess strong commercial acumens; a seasoned Propositions manager who has good market knowledge and insights on the U/HNW segment, and with relevant experiences in Propositions management in the Private Banking / Affluent segment, and U/HNW Cards. Candidates who understand the institutional grade of banking services offered by Private Banks (i.e. Advisory services in Wealth and Succession Planning, Next Generation, Family Office, Philanthropy, Private Markets, Corporate Solutions) and have Channels / Platform management experience in the Private Bank will be an advantage

•   10+ years of experience in propositions management in Private Banking / Affluent segment; experience in channels management, client strategy and planning with private banking will be an advantage  

•   Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Banking and Finance or Economics or a related field

 

Role Specific Technical Competencies
•    CVP strategy development and execution – Design, own and execute end-to-end CVP strategy for U/HNW segments. 
•    Business acumen – Understands the Private Banking business, products, solutions, client knowledge, including organisational and industry-wide matters, and applies such knowledge to business decisions and CVP programmes.
•    Partnership and ecosystem development – Identify, onboard and manage premium vendors and partners across the key proposition pillars that the Private Bank focuses on. Candidate with Cards experience will have an added advantage.
•    Commercial impact – Align CVPs with commercial objectives, driving client growth through acquisition and share of wallet. 
•    Channel management – Map the CVP engagement model into client lifecycle and integrate with channels and touchpoints for seamless and consistent client journey / experiences. 
•    Cost management – Plans, proactively controls and manages cost in various contexts (e.g. short-term vs long-term projects) to keep within financial budgets of the business.
