About the Team
FM Digital Channels is a global team driven to provide world class technology in support of the bank’s Financial Markets business. Blade is the bank’s strategic, in-house built pricing, execution, and trade processing platform. We bring a deep understanding of the domain, a scientific approach, and innovative solutions to bear on the challenges of best servicing our customers in a highly competitive environment. Key Responsibilities
As a lead developer based in Singapore, you’ll lead a globally distributed team, with sharp focus on specific business domain. You will drive our platform forwards and deliver quality solutions to business-critical customer requirements. Your team will collaborate in a dynamic global organisation, with fellow engineers, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders across multiple locations.
• Serves as senior developer, potentially leading a squad of several members.
• Unblocks progress and solves problems at the team’s level,
• Owns the technical aspect of the team's delivery,
• Owns the effectiveness of the stream's development processes,
• Drives the technical roadmap for the stream and participates in improving the wider platform,
• Oversees the designs done by other developers and ensures they are aligned with the roadmaps,
• Oversees the velocity and quality of the code produced by the stream's developers.

• Definition of the team’s technical roadmap, adherence to the platform’s roadmap.
Business
• Take ownership of the of design and delivery of assigned features. Take ownership for and drive the delivery of platform-wide initiatives and issue remediations.
Processes
• Facilitate the team’s technical design and delivery processes. Own the team’s process improvements initiatives.
People & Talent
• Participate in hiring, engage in peer coaching.

• Head of Development, Head of Programme Delivery, Squad Technical Leads, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, QA Leads, Business Product Owners, other Engineering Managers, Platform Architect.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of relevant experience in full stack engineering background with deep expertise in either front end or back end development, and solid hands on experience across the other part of the stack.
- Possess good software design principles and the ability to write robust code and accompanying test suites,
- Expert or experienced in React, Redux, RX JS, NPM/Yarn, webpack, CSS, HTML and the rest of web stack.
- Expert or experienced in Java and Spring Boot. Knowledge of reactive programming is a strong plus.
- Writes efficient, clear and well tested code, and able to articulate what was built and why,
- Built complex, real-time, event-driven, highly componentized applications,
- Optimized performance of latency sensitive systems.
- Financial Market domain knowledge, preferably investment banking, Derivatives product knowledge and e-trading technology experience.
- Proven technical leadership experience with experience leading a team in an agile product development environment,
- Experienced in driving requirements and development efforts,
- Proactive and autonomous self-starter.
- Experienced in the end-to-end design, development and support complex systems,
- Keen problem solver, with strong sense of ownership and ability to deal with ambiguity.
