Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY

As a lead in the PvB Platform and Service Delivery team, the individual must drive meaningful change to bring benefits to clients and frontline staff. The scope include client and frontline platform enhancements, including digital and AI use cases as well as process improvements to bring higher efficiency and effectiveness into the Private Bank’s operating model. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

•    Ensure that we have a clear roadmap of platform and process related changes, with realistic timelines and dependencies. 

•    Ensure this is well communicated internally and with key stakeholders, bringing clarity on delivery and benefits to the business.

Business

•    Ensure sound business case for all major developments, prioritising those that maximise value for clients and frontline. 

•    Drive efficient use of capacity within the team and with key stakeholders, so there is no wastage and throwaway efforts. 

•    Drive key projects to high standards on quality and timeliness of delivery, ensuring that all changes are well tested and suitable for rollout prior to rollout.

Processes

•    Have a clear pulse of the ground when it comes to process related pain points, and develop a clear view of the most critical changes need to improve processes and alleviate our hotspots

•    Drive process improvements working with key stakeholders in operating office

•    Ensure that process design takes into account client and frontline needs as well as challenges, ensuring the redesign brings significant improvement to current state of affairs

People & Talent

•    Collaborate closely with the Process and Service Delivery team members as well as key stakeholders such as CSMs, Operating Office and One Delivery teams – to drive the right enhancements for the private banking business

Risk Management

•    Drive the delivery of key initiatives in a safe and well-controlled manner and on an end-to-end basis

•    Drive effective management of operational risks in compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations

Governance

•    Drive all initiatives in a well governed manner, keeping track of timelines, deliverables and accountabilities. Ensure proper documentation of all initiatives in a clear and well understandable manner. Escalate on a timely basis any delays of overspends that may need clear communication and attention.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 

•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

•    PvB Front office – RMs, CSMs, IAs and their leaders

•    One Delivery teams

•    COO and Operations teams
