Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    The role will be part of the Country Risk governance team and candidate is expected to provide extensive and thorough 2LOD oversight of risk governance process, in compliance to local regulations and internal risk management framework/policy/standards.
•    Uphold the integrity of risk, ensuring that risks are properly assessed.
•    The role monitors the adoption of frameworks and policies in the Bank for Country teams within the Risk function.
•    The role is expected to oversee the Country Risk monitoring and reporting.
•   This role acts as a liaison to Regulatory Reporting Working group (RRWG) in oversight of Non-financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRRs) process within the Risk function.The role carries an extended responsibility in overseeing the appropriateness and adherence to Group polices and local regulations in Risk Appetite (RA) setting for the bank. 
•    This role is also expected to prepare and coordinate the Credit Rating Agency meeting within Singapore Risk Functions
•    Secretariat for Singapore & ASEAN Risk Committee and Local Models Assessment Committee
•    Assist in preparation of meeting materials for annual MAS CRAFT meeting
•    Any other task which may be assigned by Head of Risk Governance & Enterprise Risk, Singapore & ASEAN

Key Responsibilities

Business
•    Ensure that risk decisions are transparent and supporting rationales are justifiable.
•    Preparing Risk reports tailored to the relevant audience
•    Perform committee governance oversight
•    Support the Head of Risk Governance & Enterprise Risk and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of other ad-hoc requests.

Processes
•    Monitor the daily country concentration.
•    Perform quarterly report of country risk

Risk Management
•    Monitor and ensure adoption of Group Frameworks, Policies and Standards and maintain local addendums, if there are deviations.
•    2LOD oversight of risk governance processes, in compliance to local regulations and internal risk management framework/policy/standards.
•    2nd LoD effectiveness review for Risk Reporting Standards and Risk Governance  
•    Facilitate other Risk Information and Governance related activities.
•    Prepare, review and challenge materials for submission to the relevant Risk Committees as required.

Governance
•    Prepare and coordinate the Credit Rating Agency reviews within Risk Functions.
•    Manage and Oversee GBS’s Secretariat Support for Singapore and ASEAN Risk Committee (SGARC) and Local Model Assessment Committee (LMAC)
•    Ensure all relevant Department Operating Instructions are refreshed for all responsibilities tagged.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
•    Assist in MAS CRAFT meeting decks preparation and RFIs.
•    Provide support for ad-hoc requests from external agencies, regulators and auditors.

Our Ideal Candidate

•     8+ years of experience, in MAS regulations,  preferably in banks with multi locations dynamic.
•     Bachelor’s degree or above in statistics, economics, finance or any other related academic field.
•    Strong regulatory interpretation skills on technical aspects.
•    Good personality and comfortable to communicate with senior management and other key stakeholders across different risk teams in the bank. 
•    Ability to present complex information in a succinct manner to senior management.
•    Having excellent Excel, Word and PPT skills.
•    This is key contributor role which will require very good planning and coordination to deliver timely and high quality.
•    Very good command of the Business Communication (both written and spoken).
