Job Summary
• This role partners with leaders in PRB to deliver performance, reward and benefits outcomes that incentivise and reward the delivery of the bank strategy and create a performance orientated and innovative culture that emphasises conduct and sustainability.
• The incumbent will primarily focus on the CIB part of the business with a view to providing strategic advisory, improving process efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring our PRB offering best meets business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Advisory
• Trusted advisor on full scope of CIB compensation matters
• Close partnership with Talent Acquisition teams to structure competitive and compelling offers which are aligned with the bank’s overall strategy and risk appetite
• Integral member of global advisory team for managing year end TVC and salary outcomes for CIB population
• Involvement in global PRB projects with a focus on CIB
• Advisory to country CEO and HR teams around compensation aspects of regulatory and union matters pertaining to particular locations
• Ability to analyse and use data to:
• Support messaging and set strategy
• Seek and identify “hotspots” for further focus
Business
• Establish relationships with key business stakeholders, enabling the identification and understanding of business objectives and how these can be supported by PRB
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their engagement and sponsorship of the CIB compensation approach
• Monitor the performance and effectiveness of reward policies, programmes and processes in achieving business objectives
Processes
• Manage performance and pay review processes in line with the global principles, in partnership with business and HR stakeholders
• Identify, monitor (using data analytics and otherwise) and mitigate any operational risk arising and ensure proper controls are in place and maintained as per the Group’s operational risk framework
People & Talent
• Coach Performance & Reward Advisory Support colleagues in Chennai, motivating and developing them to achieve high standards of performance
Risk Management & Governance
• Manage audit and review activities in relation to CIB compensation
• Work with business and HR process owners to articulate and manage risks through designated risk forums and/or process or product governance committees
• Work with the Reward Governance team on the alignment of remuneration with regulatory guidance
• Contribute to governance bodies e.g. papers for country board meetings and relevant sub-committees

Our Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of expertise in compensation, performance and reward management within a complex, matrixed organisation, with the ability to provide strategic advisory to senior business leaders.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of partnering effectively with business, HR, Finance, Risk and Compliance teams to deliver commercial and people outcomes.
- Strong analytical, governance and risk management capabilities, with experience leveraging data insights to shape reward decisions, drive process improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
