Job Summary

•    We are seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented Portfolio Analyst who thrives in a structured investment environment and is eager to develop into a strong Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) professional. The ideal candidate is proactive, intellectually curious, and motivated to support the team across investment, client, and governance activities.

Portfolio Management Support

•    Assist in the day-to-day management of multi-asset portfolios (including implementation, onboarding, operational support).
•    Support Portfolio Managers with the evaluation of new investment opportunities and the selection of securities.
•    Prepare performance, attribution, and risk reports with a high degree of accuracy.

Sales & Marketing Support

•    Assist in preparing client materials, including portfolio reviews, investment commentary, and client pitchbooks.
•    Contribute to after-sales support, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of portfolio-related information.
•    Track and analyse flows across the different products managed by DPM team.

Product Management & Governance 

•    Participate in the business development and enhancement of the DPM product offering.
•    Conduct performance attribution analysis and provide insights on portfolio improvements.
•    Adhere to governance procedures, performing accurate risk oversight and compliance checks.
•    Support the preparation of materials for governance and investment committee meetings.

Regulatory & Business Conduct 

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    2 to 6 years of experience in an investment-related role within private banking, wealth management, or asset management.
•    Strong interest in portfolio management, performance analytics, and investment analysis.
•    Detail-oriented, diligent, and highly motivated to learn in a fast-paced and growing business.
•    Strong analytical skills, with an aptitude for automating workflows and handling quantitative tasks.
•    Strong governance orientation, with high accountability and attention to detail.
•    CFA designation or progress toward CFA preferred.
