Job Summary

  • The role is a delivery‑focused Program Manager responsible for executing and embedding digital and non-digital initiatives across Supply Chain Finance.
  • The role does not own product vision. Instead, it ensures that approved initiatives are delivered on time, that process, governance and risk artefacts remain current, and that markets adopt new capabilities effectively through structured communication, training and change management.
  • The role acts as a bridge between Global Product, SCF Leads, Programme Managers and SCF Specialists. Operations, Finance, CPM and Technology, translating initiatives into practical process changes, governance updates and executable delivery plans 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

Overall trade strategy has digitization of Trade as a key pillar to transform the business over the next 3-5 years. The role is expected to leverage both proprietary channels/capabilities and oversee governance with 3rd party platforms to transform the SCF business, working alongside other product managers, fintechs, internal tech, data & operations teams.

  • Maintain a strong awareness and understanding of the Trade & Working Capital digital and process enablement agenda and its alignment to the broader Trade & Working Capital strategy.
  • Translate agreed strategies, priorities and initiatives into clear execution plans, milestones and dependencies.
  • Support Global Product Managers by operationalising strategy into process, governance and delivery actions.
  • Ensure that future operational model between is effectively translated into digital enablement initiatives.
  • Support the team in promoting and championing digital SCF solutions – as a centre of excellence, providing training and knowledge transfer to the global network.
  • Work with other stakeholders (eg Central and Local Product, TB Sales and SSD, Implementation and DCS) in preparation for any new or enhanced product capabilities or individual originations.

 

Business

This group product manager role in SCF digitization initiatives will drive the commercialisation and implementation of the digitization agenda across the SCF portfolio. This function within Trade Finance targets to address internal and client communications with regards to new initiatives, enhancements & digital product capabilities in the region and countries. It will ensure the alignment of multiple digitization and change management workstreams working with the SCF Leads, Regional Trade Heads, Country Heads and relevant internal functions across Digital channels, data, operations, governance etc.

The role is responsible and has joint accountability (with digital channels, trade ops, implementation & product mgmt etc) for commercialisation of the trade digital initiatives and accountability

  • Act as delivery owner for assigned digital and non-digital initiatives, ensuring clear scope definition, timely execution, dependency tracking, issue and risk escalation
  • Support Global Product Managers in implementing required process changes, operating model adjustments and governance updates driven by digital enablement
  • Demonstrate active product life cycle management through scrutiny of regular financial data; annual assessments of products and processes, ensuring they are Fit for Purpose & Fit for Growth.
  • Ensure appropriate governance is in place for managed products and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the product complies all process and policy guidelines. Track progress of initiatives and provide structured updates to stakeholders
  • Support Global Product Managers in implementing: process changes, operating model adjustments, governance and control updates required by digital enablement
  • Ensure timely completion of all assigned initiatives and remediation actions

 

Processes, System And Architecture

  • Responsible for management of sourcing, shortlisting / renewal process of Third Party Platforms (TPP)  and identification of digital solutions for SCF trade product, working with DCS, ops, product, sales, regions
  • Apply structured project management discipline across initiatives, including: workplan development, timeline management linked to product deliveries together with LPMs and SCF Leads
  • Escalate delivery risks and bottlenecks in a timely and constructive manner Systems & Architecture Awareness
  • Maintain a working understanding of system architecture relevant to Trade & Working Capital.
  • Understand system dependencies, data flows and integration points sufficiently to support process design, identify execution risks, engage meaningfully with Technology partners

Brand Marketing and Training 

  • Conduct training and workshops for internal stakeholders across specific solutions or initiatives to further strengthen SCF knowledge across the Bank, and maintain Central Product’s links with teams. 
  • Design and execute change management and adoption plans for digital initiatives.
  • Develop and coordinate: Internal communications, Training materials, Adoption toolkits for markets in order to achieve digital KPIs
  • Working with countries & operations to identify target clients and establish commercialization plan
    • Prepare client briefing decks & lead digital pitch in conjunction with DCS/Sales/Product mgmt.
    • Conduct training in the context of our digital capabilities
  • Act as a central point of coordination to accelerate digital uptake and reduce execution friction.
  • Gather feedback from markets and stakeholders to inform continuous improvement

Risk Management

  • Ensure meaningful controls across the SCF product and transaction lifecycle by strengthening critical controls while reducing/removing those that are ineffective. 
  • Support identification, tracking and closure of Operational, Regulatory, Financial Crime risks, process gaps and Governance deficiencies through digital initiatives that embed governance in systems.
  • Ensure initiatives comply with Group policies, Risk Management Framework, Applicable control standards

 

Governance 

  • Drive a disciplined approach to governance with bank’s policies. 
  • Ensures that approved initiatives are delivered on time, that process, governance and risk artefacts remain current
  • Owns TPRM Process across SCF and works in conjunction with Product Managers to ensure it is updated regularly

Our Ideal Candidate

  • University degree (Business, Finance, Operations, or related discipline)
  • 10+ years of trade finance/supply chain experience with at least 2 years of strong exposure in digital trade, digitisation & platforms, in the industry leveraging APIs
  • Demonstrated experience in: Business process change, Governance maintenance, Cross-functional project delivery
  • Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
  • Interpersonal skills in networking, influencing and decision taking
  • Good presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Focused, organised and results-oriented
