Job Summary

The Global Category Lead – SC Ventures is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the Supply Chain Management organisation as it serves the needs of the SC Ventures portfolio, identifying requirements early in the investment cycle and leading the development of a new mode of procurement policy and process to improve speed to market while managing risks appropriately. 

 

  • Ownership, execution and delivery of SCM strategies, objectives and supply chain targets with key accountability of building pipeline and ensuring that deals are constructed in a commercially sound, scalable manner.
  • Single face of SCM to the business / function, encompassing sourcing, TPRM, policy, process etc.
  • Develop a streamlined approach for engaging and onboarding third parties for SC Ventures which factors in speed while managing risks

Key Responsibilities

Key accountabilities include:

  • Ownership, execution and delivery of SCM strategies, objectives and supply chain targets with key accountability of building pipeline and ensuring that deals are constructed in a commercially sound, scalable manner.
  • Single face of SCM to the business / function, encompassing sourcing, TPRM, policy, process etc.
  • Develop a streamlined approach for engaging and onboarding third parties for SC Ventures which factors in speed while managing risks
  • Lead and manage the dedicated SCM staff working with the SC Ventures teams.
  • Lead overall governance within the SC Ventures portfolio for Third Party Risk Management activities (covering internal and external outsourcing, and vendor management) and Vendor Service risk.
  • Lead navigation of existing SCM process and policies for SC Ventures and specific ventures
  • Understand and execute on SC Ventures’ business requirements within, but not constrained by the global SCM operating model
  • Develop an SCM operating model for SC Ventures that supports the Bank’s innovation agenda

 

Qualifications

  • Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Law
  • Licences and Certifications/accreditations: NA
  • Professional Memberships: CIPS or similar desirable
  • Bank training; Code Of Conduct, AB&C and other mandatory learning.
  • Languages; English (Mandatory), other languages applicable to the region desirable.
