JOB SUMMARY

Standard Chartered is investing significantly in its digital transformation. The delivery Programmes within the Transaction Banking portfolio are aligned to a key product area and span business change and technology delivery teams across Cash Management and Trade & Working Capital Services.

The SCPay Programme will modernize the banks payment systems which is future ready and in line with Transaction Banking strategy to allow seamless client experience. The SCPay platform will address legacy platform issues including manual processing delivering increased STP, better liquidity management, payment assurance, standardisation across countries, scalability for future growth in payment and transaction volume, and improved client experience. SCPay also delivers ‘Payments as a Service’ for Trade, FM, Private Banking and Retail teams allowing the teams to focus on addressing clients’ needs.

We are seeking an experienced Business Project Manager with a strong understanding of the payments industry.  The role will report into the Programme Director and be responsible for leading change impact analysis, implementation planning, and managing deliveries across global technology platforms, operational processes, and stakeholders to meet key country roll-outs, operational efficiency and enhanced capabilities for clients.

The ideal candidate will work effectively in a changing landscape, effectively self-organise and be proactive to engage and communicate with diverse stakeholders across markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Lead inception activity to assess impact and planning required to meet new country requirements.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including TB business, operations, technology, risk and compliance teams to gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements aligned to strategic outcomes. 
•    Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a coordinated programme delivery plan and respective user stories with benefits quantified and captured into the relevant technology backlogs for delivery prioritisation.
•    Manage change requests including documenting impact on scope, benefits, cost, resourcing, technology solutions and plan to deliver target state.  
•    Provide data-driven recommendations and lead presentations to stakeholders to inform decision making.
•    Track and report status for inflight deliverables including progress against milestones, benefits and budget targets set.  
•    Proactively manage delivery risks and issues ensuring mitigation and resolution plans are defined and timely escalated within governance.
•    Ensure consistent, timely and accurate stakeholder communication and information flow on project deliverables
•    Ensure change activities are delivered in accordance with the Bank’s Change Delivery Standards and delivery risks identified are logged and managed in line with the appointed transformation portfolio and programme governance.
•    Support execution of change management plans including assurance on communication and training to impacted teams to ensure alignment with desired operating model and effective operationalisation of enhancements in systems and processes.
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    10+ years of change and project delivery experience ideally within Banking or global financial services sector.
•    Relevant Degree qualification preferred.
•    Experience and proven track record in programme and project delivery covering requirements gathering and definition, change delivery roadmap, business case, target solution design and technology and process change delivery.
•    Relevant project management training and certification preferred (e.g. SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, PMO, Prince2)
•    Able to collaborate and work dynamically across a broad range of stakeholders, functions and geographies.
•    Good presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skills.
•    Can organise and plan work independently to meet strict timeframes.
•    Assertive, tenacious and willing to challenge others when required.
•    Experience with project and change management tools (e.g. Clarity, ADO, Confluence)
•    Adept in using MS Office suite to analyse data and present project deliverables.
