Job Summary
This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalising credit and security documentation in line with approved credit terms, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures that all facility and collateral documents are accurate, complete, and properly executed to support timely activation of credit facilities and effective risk management. The incumbent works closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations to resolve documentation issues and maintain high standards of control and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure instructions received from Private Bank clients are fit for purpose and in compliance with Group Policy & Standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations throughout the documentation review process.
- Ensure documentation reviews are conducted within acceptable timelines and service level agreements
- Identify risks / red flags in the documents received and highlight to senior management for assessment and reporting where required.
- Identify areas of improvement in the process and highlight to senior management for assessment.
- In depth knowledge of Private Bank Credit documentation requirement, timelines and stakeholders involved in the documentation process.
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Awareness and understanding of outsourced activities from the Credit documentation team and the critical data points & key controls that need to be reviewed.
- Support the continuous improvement and projects of credit documentation processes and systems.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Singapore / Private Banking Operations. Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats).

Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Banking or Business Management.
• 5 +years experience in Private Banking Credit Documentation.
• Strong technical knowledge of credit/legal documentation with meticulous attention to detail and a high level of professionalism in client-centric environments.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and control.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with relationship managers, credit officers, legal, operations and where appropriate external counsel.
• Working knowledge of credit lifecycle processes: onboarding, approval, documentation, drawdown, amendment, renewal, and closure.
