Job Description: 

Job Summary

• Ensure instructions received from Private Bank clients are fit for purpose and in compliance with Group Policy & Standards.
• Perform credit checks and analyze financial information to determine client’s credit position.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all credit transactions and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations throughout the credit approval process.
• Identify risks / red flags in the documents received and highlight to senior management for assessment and reporting where required.
• Support the continuous improvement of credit operations processes and systems.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure instructions received from Private Bank clients are fit for purpose and in compliance with Group Policy & Standards 
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless processing of the client’s credit / payments / deposits application form
• Identify risks / red flags in the documents received and highlight to senior management for assessment and reporting where required
• Identify areas of improvement in the process and highlight to senior management for assessment
• Ensure documentation reviews are conducted within acceptable timelines and service level agreements
• Ensure clarifications are sought and cleared immediately with the line manager
• Extend support in projects when required 
• Awareness and alignment of the Private Bank segment’s goal for the next 2 years and how the role of Credit Documentation is linked to that goal.
• Awareness of the business focus markets and documentation requirements for clients from these markets [South East Asia]
• In depth knowledge of Private Bank Credit documentation requirement, timelines and stakeholders involved in the documentation process.
• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•  Identify risks / red flags in the documents received and highlight to senior management for assessment and reporting where required
• Awareness and understanding of outsourced activities from the Credit documentation team and the critical data points & key controls that need to be reviewed.

Our Ideal Candidate

•  3+ years of experience in Private Banking operation.
•  Strong project management skills and the ability to co-ordinate across a wide range of stakeholders.
•  Proven history of managing key stakeholders and demonstration of problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
•  Able to multitask and manage different initiatives at a time with strong execution focus.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong in verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
•  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
