Job Summary

Transaction Banking is delivering a complex, multi‑year technology transformation agenda across multiple programmes within the TB Transformation Portfolio.

The Senior Change Manager is accountable for end‑to‑end change management across one or more technology programmes, with effort allocated dynamically across the portfolio based on delivery need.

This role is suited to a senior change practitioner with proven experience managing end‑to‑end technology change, including SDLC‑driven delivery, operating model impacts, and business readiness.

The role holder operates with a high degree of autonomy, partners closely with senior stakeholders, and is accountable for change outcomes and adoption, not just delivery of change activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑End Change Leadership
    • Lead end‑to‑end change management for complex technology programmes across the TB Transformation Portfolio
    • Be accountable for change outcomes, including adoption, readiness, and successful transition into BAU
    • Operate flexibly across multiple programmes concurrently, adjusting focus in line with portfolio priorities
    • Provide senior‑level change leadership with minimal supervision
  • Portfolio Allocation & Delivery
    • Be explicitly allocated to programmes by portfolio leadership based on demand and delivery phase
    • Provide surge change capacity at critical points (e.g. design finalisation, testing, go‑live, transition)
    • Maintain continuity of change approach while adapting to differing programme contexts and delivery models
  • Change Strategy & Planning
    • Define and own programme‑level change strategies aligned to technology delivery and business outcomes
    • Integrate change plans with SDLC, programme plans, and release schedules
    • Establish success measures and track progress towards adoption and readiness outcomes

  • Change Impact, Readiness & Transition
    • Lead structured change impact assessments across impacted business units, operations, and geographies
    • Define and manage business and operational readiness activities
    • Lead transition planning from programme delivery into BAU ownership, ensuring sustainability of outcomes
  • Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Design and oversee delivery of targeted communications aligned to programme milestones
    • Engage credibly with senior stakeholders, providing clear insight into change risks, dependencies, and readiness
    • Support programme and senior leaders with change narratives and key messaging as required
  • Learning & Capability Enablement
    • Define learning and capability strategies aligned to programme needs
    • Oversee training needs analysis and learning approaches, ensuring readiness without directly creating or delivering training
    • Ensure learning solutions are embedded into BAU processes and ownership models.

  • Governance, Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Ensure quality and consistency of core change deliverables (e.g. impacts, readiness, transition plans)
    • Actively support programme governance, including:
    • SteerCo forums
    • Programme Working Groups
    • Change Champion networks

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Essential Experience – 10+ plus years
  • Proven experience as a Senior Change Manager leading end‑to‑end technology change
  • Strong experience working with technology programmes and SDLC‑based delivery
  • Demonstrated accountability for adoption, readiness, and transition outcomes
  • Experience operating across multiple initiatives concurrently in a complex, matrixed environment

 

  • Strong personal authority and ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable challenging delivery and design decisions where change risk exists
  • Highly organised, resilient, and outcomes‑focused
  • Able to operate effectively under ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Change Management Certifications, Prosci, Kotter, ADKAR etc
  • Project management, SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, PMP, PRINCE2 etc
  • Tools. Jira, ADO, Confluence, ServiceNow
