Job Description: 

Job Summary

Partnering, Analysis & Decision support (including Adhoc)
•    Provide Retail Products (Mortgages and Auto, Retail Deposits & Credit Cards/Personal Loans) business with options, recommendations and clear financial consequences based on robust analysis and a transparent decision-making framework.
•    Support the respective Business Heads to drive and manage business performance based on agreed external & internal benchmarks for optimal decisions, superior performance, and appropriate rewards.
•    Collaborate with Business in setting the expectation and provide right solutioning, to drive and manage WRB Agenda
•    Understand the drivers of various lines of business and analyse the drivers that can influence delivery of planned target with Risk/Opportunities
•    Support the delivery of Analytical ask by connecting to the Business context and link it to Country Plan target and strategic outcomes
•    Ensure support to business stakeholders on regular and ad-hoc management meetings (e.g., MBR, ALCO, CMT and MAS CRAFT) 
•    Analyse the impact of Bank-wide projects such as structural hedging on WRB financials and its implications on business strategy

Reporting and Business Support
•    Provide comprehensive MIs on financial performance to business heads and help them understand drivers of financial performance as well as quantify risks and opportunities arising from changes in the external environment
•    Provide Storyboarding behind the numbers with value added Business commentaries
•    Understand the Objectives of the Report and help to establish and deliver performance MI to the respective business heads
•    Drive efficient use of metrics and standards in the delivery of reports
•    Ensure Operational resilience in delivering the standard reports and adhoc requirements with no slippages in monthly ask (Quality/timeline)

Key Responsibilities

Planning (Corporate Plan/Flash/Outlook)
•    Collaborate with Country Performance Management and Product CFO teams (Group/Region/Country) aligning top down/Bottoms up for Budgeting / Flash/Outlook
•    Constantly drive re-engineering of the Budgeting/ Forecasting process to deliver process efficiencies and effectiveness (Model Building)
•    Support loading for Budgeting/ forecasting process and provision of data with key drivers that influence Corporate Plan

Transformation, Change & Digital Agenda
•    Drive the change agenda by assessing the impact covering both Performance, System and Process
•    Support in implementing the organisational changes in the MI with no slippage in quality/timeline
•    Identify/ Build Digital Capability with the team to drive Automation / Standardisation
•    Execute process simplification through Digital Capability and standardisation of Reports

Financial Controls
•    Maintain robust process around Balance Sheet Substantiation and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for the timely resolution of overdue balances. 
•    Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue as well as balance sheet for WRB in an accurate and timely manner
•    Ensure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelines. 
•    Ensure timely and correct submission of financial returns to various internal and external authorities and stakeholders.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    Chartered Accountant or MBA with 10+ years of relevant finance experience in FP and A.
•    Relevant Financial Planning and Analysis experience in supporting business financial analysis, preferably with experience in Retail Products
•    Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.
•    Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Solid people and project management skills.
•    Leadership skills and ability to influence others in decision making.
•    Relationship and stakeholder management skills are important.
•    Initiative and proactive thinking

Role Specific Technical Competencies

•    MRC, FA , PSGL, SAP, HP, HPCM
•    Tableau
•    Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word) 

•    A mature finance profession with relevant experience in Business Finance 
•    Quality of decision making within Singapore
•   Influences and challenges issues, providing judgment and assessment of impact of proposed actions / activities on performance and strategy.
•    Uphold the control and compliance culture in the bank.
•    Good Communication and experience in computer skills (Excel, word, and presentation skills)
•    A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner
•    Attitude to drive change agenda
•    Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques.
•    Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, lead through ambiguities, influence where the candidate does not have direct authority and  build on unstructured formative situations
•    Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of business performance management outcomes
•    Should have worked in a business finance function with strong FPand A background.
•    Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.
•    Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.
